Change your outlook my friend, allow this and you'll find that there's many stages to life that will make you happy. You'll look back with nostalgia all the way through, make the memories at any age, you're in control! Whilst I'm not trying to invalidate anyones feelings, I think its important to stay positive, ambitious and imaginative regardless of age. You've got your whole lives ahead of you, don't be ageist towards yourself, keep that dream and do something a little more everyday to achieve it. Stuck in the system? Change things up...Be spontaneous and try something new. Opportunities spark when you branch out and broaden your horizons.
