Cheers for sharing this one; loved the option to change the view of the 2 screens. Some games have little dependency on the bottom screen to nice to be able to toggle it exactly how you want. Have a fab weekend mate.

I've used it a lot recently. Separate Windows is very useful to play with dual screens. I also used them with a VR headset and Desktop+, so you can pretty much reproduce the same dual screen stereoscopic layout in SteamVR, and use motion controls for the touch screen, just like they did with CitraVR. Without VR or a 3DTV I would highly recommend playing in stereoscopic 3D with cheap anaglyph red and cyan glasses, they have a dedicated shader with optimized colours and those 3DS games like Mario 3D Land and Zelda Link Between Worlds with lots of saturated colors don't really suffer from it, and should really be played in 3D. I think it's a case where emulation gives far superior results than the original hardware (even if the 3DS is still an awesome little portable). Been doing let's plays recorded in 3D 4K60 on my channel if you're curious, they can be watched in any mode and in normal 2D as well.

So, how does the game look? does it actually work? Esp with anaglyph red and cyan glasses. Because wouldn't the colors look super weird.

@@Fnord23Gnosis I think it looks great. I played Zelda Link Between Worlds from start to finish in VR, but the replays on my channel can be watched in anaglyph if you dont have a 3DTV or a headset, and I think it still looks good. You should test it yourself really. You can find red and cyan glasses for really cheap, less than 1€. You can even make some yourself by colouring the glasses with markers. IME the glasses just need to be coloured enough to allow proper filtering. If you see ghosting effects, it may mean that the glasses are a bit too transparent. But if they're too much coloured you'll loose more brightness. So there's a sweet spot depending on you and the screen and how bright it is. You should also try anaglyph in Beetle VB or VBJin, VirtualBoy emulators, it works great there and is better looking and far more comfortable than the real thing.

Do you have any advice for dealing with the rampant horrible stuttering found in almost every game? My settings are the same as yours... default, native resolution, and Vulkan. But even something rated "perfect" like Sonic Generations is just painful to play, and has stuttering every few seconds. I only get smooth gameplay out of 2d stuff like Ikachan or Boxboy. I see people all the time bragging about how their aging 5+ year old PC with crappy specs is somehow able to magically run "insert popular 3DS game" at 60fps upscaled. I only have a Ryzen 5 5600H CPU and 16 GB of ram, but that should be enough for decent results...

I had to tweak Advanced Graphics Settings. Here everything is enabled except Accurate Multiplication. I think what makes the biggest difference is Enable Async Shader Compilation. It will introduce some texture popping the first time the game load some shaders tho, but it's not game breaking and usually only at the start of a level. Without enabling it the game would stutter to write the shader in the disk cache. Maybe also search online to find someone who already played the game and shared their disk cache.

@Op_pose It didn't work for me either, but that's why there's 2 different files. Msvc and Msys2, if one doesn't work, try the other. If both don't work, I don't know what to do, honestly

If you have a 3d screen or a quest 2 hooked up with something like bigscreen you can get all the 3d effects of the 3ds. If you're into that thing
