Thanks for making the videos. I took OCR GCSE Biology this year in support of my son who did triple science. It was a crash and burn for me but your videos are helping bridge the gap between now and the start of his A levels. I can grasp some of the ideas so guess he can too. Tell me, to what extent are your videos outdated by the new A level content?

+Mr Pollock 4:37 Sorry sir, but I still don't get it the part about CO2 being the limiting factor. Surely, if the CO2 concentration is being kept the same but the temperature is being increased, the limiting factor there would be temperature? Apologies for my lack of knowledge, and any assistance would be truly appreciated.

+Desmond Cheng Look at the lines in groups. so compare both the lines for 15C. You can see one levels off higher than the other. why? Because the green line has low amounts of CO2 whereas the purple line as high CO2. Both had the same temp and light intensity but different levels of CO2 and higher levels of CO2 was more desirable as it levelled off higher than the line with less CO2. All in short CO2 is limiting the rate of photosynthesis as less of it is available providing the other conditions are the same (15C and same light intensisty). May need to read over a few times as it may not be the clearest of explanations.

Doesnt G3P means "Glyceraldehyde" 3-phosphate and not glycerate 3...?

Because not much water is needed for photosynthesis so they don’t consider it
