Thank you. I started reading this book but it was more a story about Jim with very little info than a book on memory. More fluff than I would like. Thank you for this short summary with only the necessary information. How can you possibly count out loud while reading? Anyone have any ideas on how to do this if you’re a sub-vocalizer? I keep trying but end up just saying the word in my head in between the counting.

Would not recommend it. His book is just a sales letter to his courses. Granted there are good concepts in the book but he doesn't share any real techniques and instead invites you join his courses There is nothing wrong with courses and pay for them but what is wrong is to trick customers to buy a book that is mostly a sales pitch

What great insight will I get from this book and how can I use this insight? 1. Regression: Use your finger when reading a book on your phone and mouse on the computer as a pacer. This prevents you from rereading 2. Subvocalisation: Don't read in your head but rather imagine the word. Count out loud as you read to practice this. 3. Word by work reading: Read chunks of words at a time. 3 or 5 words at a time. Pace, count, expand Practice 20 minutes every day.

2:20 This ten minutes exercise is somehow not correct, if you are doing it for same pages over and over of course you'll speed your reading and comprehension because you'r reading same words repeatedly, same as when you try to learn anything like driving a car or learning how to play guitar, but in reading books, as you continue reading the words are changing and the ideas, characters, information, depends on what type of book you are reading! try to read 10 pages at 10 minutes timer, then try different 10 pages at 8 minutes timer and so on, you'll see that is impossible to speed up your reading and comprehension with this method! you may get to become fast reader but your comprehension is not because you're filling your memory with new information as you're reading new pages, i think this will be good for reading a story or news something that doesn't require much focus, but it's not accurate for studying or learning books.
