I keep coming back to the idea that’s something we desperately need right now. The cultural side of this transformative movement. I want to see dynamic characters and different stories that allow ppl to connect and see part of themselves in it. Chipping away at those implicit biases.

I admire Donald Glover almost to the point of thinking like "How can I EVER do all the things this guy can do?" (Stand-Up/Filmmaking/GREAT Music/Acting) or "Why should i even try to succeed in what he does, if he can do it SO much better?" It's kind of a personal creative limbo, of sorts. This conversation has inspired me in a sense because i kinda know what goes into their creative process so i know what to do or not to do.

Issac Salazar A lot of creativity is just luck. I'm not saying these guys aren't talented because they clearly are I'm just saying that you have to be open to letting accidents happen and going with the flow. That's what creativity is after all. Let your inspirations be the ground work and then let chaos be the finishing touches. This all applies to music at least, I'm no comedian.

I think the reason we are sad when an episode is almost over is because we're more invested in the characters than in a movie. With the movie, we only have 90/120/or so minutes with these characters. To get to know them, see their struggles, and then often times their triumphs. With a TV series, we get all that in 45 minutes at a time, but it also gets to build on itself each episode. As a season goes on, those characters get deeper and more complex and you start to see them as more "real" and your suspension of disbelief gets easier.

Speaking of a "conversation on creativity" -*EHM CLEARS THROAT* -Greetings Beautiful soul! Lol (forgive me abit i know I am not exactly what you may have come here for ..) but my name is Ibn Orator...I am an Avant-Garde, introspective & Political Hip Hop Artist from New Haven CT. I've recently released a project titled "The Fishbowl Syndrome" that is centered around the topic of our mental health and art; how they intertwine in experience or how they are sometimes viewed here in America;to which my first debut music video "The Horse on a Trampoline" works showcase on the spectrum of my own experiences with it, that i feel fans alike of FKA twigs, Janelle Monae , EarthGang, Flying lotus, Childish Gambino or those of Bjork, Logic , Lupe Fiasco, & Reggie Watts may resonate with...id like to share this with you by giving a warm welcome to my Channel to not only, like and subscribe but to comment with genuine feedback. (Please leave a comment there underneath the video and not here) as i would like for my listeners to feel welcomed to give more in thought than in clout and start a conversation which is what my subject matter is based on ..."Commentary on our shared world".In hopes that this may be fruitful to you i look forward to your response The Horse on a Trampoline Official Music Video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/idWcZqekvM7eoHU.html All the best Ibn Orator P.S. Im aware that for some us, if not all, are having a hard time this year..so id like to say that i love you very much, if you haven't heard it from anyone, and that things are about to change as they always do, for better or worse….#godspeed..

This conversation is so well curated and its participants are each so thoughtful and generous with themselves and one another. I already have massive respect for each person at the table, but because there was such a lack of ego and great respect for one another where they could have let ego control or dominate the discussion (that occasionally happens in roundtables like these; all have earned their keep and stake in fame so it would be valid), I have gained even greater respect for each of them. Such insightful input.

Right there with you Issa. Just last week, I didn't want to watch a 2 and a half hour movie, citing it's length, but then turned around and watch an entire season of a show that consisted of 13 episodes which was almost 4 times as longer than the movie. It's almost like these roundtable videos, I'm thinking I'm not going to watch the full video, and I Always watch the entire video. I'm immersed and I can't stop.

This is the best roundtable that has ever been put up on this channel. Jon literally doesn't make it feel like an interview, it feels like one big conversation with flow. Its refreshing to watch one of these and not get mad about the interviewer cutting the people off every five seconds. Hollywood Reporter honestly get Jon Favreau to handle all your future interviews, or hire someone like the man. Anything is better than the current guy you frequently use, who cuts stories and answers off at the most inopportune moments. No lie, best thing I have seen on this channel by far! Loved every second of it.
