Isn't she the queen of the crescendo? Just love how she just keeps building up and then *boom* - but a controlled explosion with impeccable technique.

Everything about her is stunning! Absolutely a joy to hear. I hope to hear her live one of these days. One of the best of her generation (or maybe any) no doubt about it!!

I saw Linda one time both in Jekyll and in concert and she just blew me away! I can't wait to see her in November for my birthday! From one Linda to another you are simply the best!

linda is an amazing singer with seemingly endless reserve and range. I just love when she powers up and just soars. Simply the best ear candy on the planet next to Karen carpenter.

Linda should sing Barbara's "Don't Know Where I Stand", which Barbara wrote and sang many years ago. It's a Linda type lyric for sure.

Linda Eder's instrument is most closely related to Barbra's; not anywhere near or like Sarah Brightman's. Sarah Brightman is not in the same league; AT ALL. There are amazing vocalists who get it just right.

Oh please. Liza does a stylish professional job but the song is really beyond her technically. She blows the high note and rather than the almost endless hold of the final note Linda does, Liza holds it for a measly 7 beats. Which is not to say they are both major singers. Linda just gets the prize for this song which, after all, was written for her voice.

Considering they did the play because of Linda's voice (Jekyle & Hyde) & this is just one of the songs she sang in the play I would say Linda owns the song for ever. Liza cannot touch Linda's vocals. Liza is more a entertainer who amits energy. When Linda sings it brings dreams & heaveness.

Liza does do "A New Life" incredibly great with a soulful passion that is her own, Linda has a phenomenal voice and love her version too and in the end they both own it...nobody could compare to their great performances of the masterful song...
