Now, I did get distracted because of the sheer beauty of both his face and voice, but I counted only 12 blinks throughout his whole performance!

Seriously wish people wouldn't cheer until the end. They continuously ruin his powerful last note. Drowned out by applause. Just shut up and listen until he's finished

I have to agree here. There was a Music of the Night performance I was watching where the audience kept cheering at different points, and it actually seemed like he held that final note extra long & with greater power in order to be heard over the crowd. In fact, I think that overall performance may have been even more impressive and gorgeous than usual, which is saying something! But I was still straining to hear it! I’m normally willing to cut some slack when they cheer at the very first notes of a song. I notice that they seem to do this when he unexpectedly sings a song that’s really popular with his fans-especially any Phantom song. In one video he announced what he was about to sing first, and I noticed that they were able to get out their reaction before he started singing, thank the Lord. So that seems to help. But when the audience is cheering not only at the opening notes but also during the middle and/or ending ones, that’s where I really have to draw the line. I understand they want to show appreciation, but you have trouble hearing the very notes they’re cheering for, it kinda feels like that amazing effort and care he puts into his performances is being somewhat wasted in a way when they’re drowning him out. Watching him during those points in Music of the Night, especially at the end, I couldn’t help but get the feeling that he probably found it frustrating having to try and compete with the crowd and hope that everyone who’s trying can actually hear him. That was the first time I really found myself getting fed up about it. Like I said, I try to cut people slack and not be unreasonable about stuff, and I really do get how enthusiastic people are and why they’d have the urge to cheer at different points. But I don’t think they really think it through and realize what a problem it actually creates for both their fellow audience members and for the performer themselves. *sighs*
