A lot of Padmé's outfits were actually designed by the concept artists, like Doug Chiang. I love what Biggar did with those designs, but it was a collaborative process not singled down to one person. Point of fact, I'd largely call her a costumer on Star Wars, rather than a designer, as almost all the designs weren't her own.

I have to tell you that in my heart I believe you will become famous in your own right in the fashion industry! I’m just a farmer that loves metal and is not fashionable really at all, but my ex girlfriend was a curator at the Guggenheim, so I have been around art and fashion and have some understanding of these things. All of her outfits looked so amazing in the prequels but particularly Phantom Menace. I have all 4 portrait dolls of most of the outfits shown. Btw great video you did a fantastic job researching and explaining the outfits! ❤

Great breakdown! These costumes truly make me appreciate the job of costume/fashion designers. When you see them in the movie you don't think about how much knowledge & craftsmanship was put into it.

You should really consider making videos about the costume design in an entire movie, not just a single character. Phantom Thread would be a good start.

i think rather than being based on chinese robes, the first robe is a manchu robe (or mongol but it's less known). the red dots are specifically worn by mongolian noble ladies and the hornhair look is in its entirety mongol

Yo loved this breakdown of something very near and dear to my heart....Star Wars. Much respect and love to you and wyatt, for loving star wars. Just when I thought you all couldn't get any cooler and have anymore in common with my tastes of things, ya prove me wrong. Also lindevil THANK YOU FOR THROWING OUT THERE THE JAR JAR LOVE! And not GAF what any haters were gonna say. Jar Jar Binks got way too much band wagon hate. So much so that entire droves of people let it ruin a whole movie for them. Which is so lame. Sadly I let that hate influence me for awhile. And thats when i noticed how easily negativity could influence. When I first saw this back as a kid....I fu****** loved it. Highkey LOVED it. And loved JAR JAR, thouught he was funny and memorable. Then all the hate started, and I started letting all my friends, and all the random personalities like comedians through the years influence me. It wasn't till much later in life I went back and realized how funny, and not annoying he was. Rediscovering it. Sorry went off on a tangent, but as everything in life, Felt the need to talk about how easy, insanely easy it is to get swept up into other peoples negativity and moods.

As a child, I really liked Jar Jar. But then when I was older, I was told by hundreds of SW fans that I should hate Jar Jar.

Oh last thing I wanted to say, I doubt you'll even see this cause im so late to your channel, but if you liked star wars FR FR, especially since your favorites were the sequels, you ABSOLUTELY should watch the Clone Wars show. I kid you not, that show hands down is the best Star Wars material out there. Sounds ridiculous, but theres a reason theres a cult following of the SW fanbase obsessed with the clone wars. And it shows you sooo much more of why and how anakin slowly fell, and has the best star wars character to date in it.....Ahsoka. It starts off a little kiddish, but quickly develops into the best written and displayed Star Wars Material.
