Davenport won 55 WTA singles titles. That's 3rd most since 1986 after Graf (107) & Serena (73) that means she won more titles than Monica, Hingis, Clijsters, Henin, Venus, Sharapova, ASV etc. But in slams she underachieved imo. She deserved in 5+ slams winners category.

I remember watching all Lindsay's fantastic matches against Venus Williams. Lindsay was/is such a fantastic ball striker with excellent timing on the ball.

That's USopen final in 2000 the beginning of the match is one of not the hardest hitting female tennis match I've ever seen!!!!

Personally, for me Davenport was part of the golden era in women's tennis! The Williams sister's, Capriati, Seles, Henin, Sharapova, Hingis, Mauresmo, Kiznetsova, Clijsters and also completed against Graf & Sanchez Vicario etc ..... And I agree with the majority of comments that Lindsay is such a great commentator, very insightful, intelligent, knowledgeable and passionate for the sport! I too wish she was commentating way more than she does

I love that she’s super excited about the sport. I’ve been loving womens tennis over mens tennis for about a decade now because of the variety of players on the tour, prefer it to watching mens tennis and I personally think it’s a crime that Canada still heirs mens tennis significantly over womens tennis, even when we now have several fantastic women on the tour.

God, she is so smart and insightful. I could listen to her all day. She is so much easier to listen to the most of the female American commentators. I respect Mary Carrillo a lot for her knowledge and insight, but I wish she would stop trying to be the female Bud Collins. It’s annoying. Evert, Navratilova, Austin and definitely Shriver should be coming to the end of their commentating days now. Let Chanda Rubin and Taylor Townsend step up. Definitely not Alexandra Stevenson! How the hell she ended up in tennis commentary with one significant result in her tennis career to her name, I will never know. Jelena Dokic does an amazing job too, as does Hantuchova. Davenport is truly the best though.

The WTA Final could have been held in Ostrava, but what mattered to the idiot American Steve Simon were some shady deals and money, not the good of tennis and the welfare of the world's best tennis players. This man must leave as soon as possible. Europe would love to hold such a tournament at a high level.
