Lindsay Lohan, who starred as Cady Heron in the original 2004 film recently attended the premiere of the Mean Girls movie musical in New York City. However, a rep for the actress tells E! News that Lindsay is "very hurt" by the film including a "fire crotch" joke.

I was surprised that Lindsay let that joke bother her but then I re-watched the video from 2006. The joke was dished with a lot hate and spurned on by IRL mean girl Paris (who iirc was a former friend of Lindsay's). The whole thing felt deeply personal. TBF, it is abundantly obvious that those silver spoon socialites were actually just jealous that LL's fame/fortune was self-made through merit.

i saw it on premiere night and yes it did come as a surprise that she was in it because my jaw literally dropped and the easter eggs they planted with lines that literally reference the old movie were so cute. i loved seeing lindsey

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@swankyangeloNo. “Y2K” was a phenomenon that occurred in late 1999 into the year 2000. It’s not just another name for the year 2000. And fashion trends weren’t the same in 2000 and 2006. Quite different actually. 2000 was more late 90s look and “aesthetic” whereas 2006 was already more of the mid-aughts identity. Pre and post 9/11 were TOTALLY distinct eras.

I was a redhead all my life, and all my life it was *NOT* a nice thing to call us! About 30 years ago, I was at an all nite cafe in Seattle. Being the height of the Grunge era, the place was full of musicians and drunk people looking for coffee and eggs at 3am. There was a wait for tables, so I get to talking to this dude who's got has *the* most MAJESTIC waist-length mane of fiery red curls. We discussed hair care, conditioner, and the general abuse we endured as kids when people "othered" us from time to time, but how it was different when we became adults. (It was a LONG wait, lol) We colored pictures with the crayons the place had on hand, and I asked him what the name of his band was, I'd draw up a flyer real quick, and he blushed *so* hard, recovered himself then said: "Firecrotch." I was like, "Duuude!" but then I thought about it and said, "You've RECLAIMED it! Good for you." But that is the *only* instance that name has ever been anything other than a pejorative. It was gross and rude of them to crap on Lindsay Lohan like that.

I don't believe this article. Lindsay is not the only red head to ever have been called that. That character is a red head and it is food for fodder. Being upset or bothered that in a movie called MEAN GIRLS that they are being "mean" is preposterous. I don't believe this is serious.

I wouldn’t necessarily believe the reporting, but the reference in question dates back to a time of a man making a comment about Lindsay’s genitals and really dubbing that term that the media ran with which is of course beyond disrespectful so I wouldn’t be surprised if she would be upset by its inclusion. But also I wouldn’t by into the reporting of gossip outlets either lol.

It may have existed but that term was made insanely viral by some dirtbag humiliating Lindsay to paparazzi and she was labeled that in the rag media FOR YEARS after. Paris Hilton and Lindsay had a falling out. Paris was out with a group of friends when confronted by paparazzi. The paparazzi asked about Lindsay and one of the guys with Paris responded that they don’t like her and she has a “fire-crouch”. It was all over the tabloids. The video is still on here too. Furthermore, she was called that by a lot of media outlets for a while, almost a whole year. For further context, this was at a time when paparazzi were obsessed with obtaining celebrity crouch photos because they fetched a high price. The women, like Brittney Spears, were often shamed publicly for them because nosy photographers would snap pics of them getting in and out of cars in short dresses.

The 2024 Mean Girls was TRASH! They should've just left the original movie alone, but instead they just had to do a "remake" && completely ruined it.... It sucked, even tho the script was ALMOST IDENTICAL, it sucked. The actors, the music/musical ((especially!!) && the lines they changed/took out. It wasn't even funny, unlike the OG Mean Girls!
