I'm not sure if Lindsey will ever read this but thank you so much for doing something from The Nutcracker. I have loved The Nutcracker since I was little and am still a huge fan of it to this day. And whenever one of my favorite artists do something from Tchaikovsky I get really excited. So once again thank you so much!! This is wonderful!!!

I agree. Tchaikovsky is probably one of the few composers I know by name between Disney's Fantasia and the Nutcracker movie. Oddly enough, this is why I have classic music for a preset on my car, and I do construction for a living.

*TheFredducky* It's a mixture of a live orchestra and electronic elements. Most of the songs on the album have a bit of electronic stuff but it's mostly the orchestra.

Before the New Year celebration I decorate shelves in my flat with Nutcracker themed dolls. Like Clara for the Disney movie, DIY Sugar Plum from the movie and.. another Sugar Plum in a dress with lights, which I made for her. And in some cases I turn on music for better impression. And this version is for my Sugar Plum in the dress with lights! Absolutely love this version!

As if her skill wasn't already amazing enough, I love Lindsey's penchant for dancing while she plays. She always looks like she's having so much fun when she performs, and you can see the carefree joy in her smile, a la 1:37 Even if she's only miming along (which, fair do's, the sound probably wouldn't be as nice as when prerecorded in a studio) I couldn't imagine also dancing at the same time. Plus I'm pretty sure miming takes a lot more effort than actually playing a piece, because instead of focusing on the sound you're focusing on how it looks, so it ends up being difficult either way if you're trying to be accurate.
