You’re watching the official music video for "Trouble" by Lindsey Buckingham from the 1981 album 'Law and Order'.
Lindsey Buckingham's self-titled LP is out now on Reprise. Order 'Lindsey Buckingham' here Rhino.lnk.to/LB2021ID
TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED - Buckingham will be returning to the stage with a 30-city 2021 U.S. tour, marking his first in-person shows following a life-saving open-heart surgery in 2019. He’ll kick off the extensive run of shows at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theatre on September 1st, with stops at The Town Hall in NYC, The Theatre at Ace Hotel in LA and more. Tickets are on sale now at www.lindseybuckingham.com
'Lindsey Buckingham' is Lindsey's first solo release since 2011’s Seeds We Sow. As with the seven studio and three live albums he has released as a solo artist beginning with 1981’s Law and Order, the new project showcases Buckingham’s instinct for melody and his singular fingerpicking guitar style, reaffirming his status as one of the most inventive and electrifying musicians of his generation. Written, produced and recorded by Buckingham at his home studio in Los Angeles, CA, the album will be released via vinyl, CD and on all digital and streaming services. A limited edition blue vinyl version is also available for pre-order via www.lindseybuckingham.com.

To add to that - I see so many young people, like teenagers upward, stating on here how lucky us "oldies" were to have been around when the charts were ruled by decent music. It speaks huge volume - indeed we were spoilt!

I met a girl (2) weeks before I left for the Army in October 1981, I wanted to go awol, what an awful feeling having to leave. It was love at first sight. I listened to this song everyday and yes, she waited for me. Happily married now for 40 years in (married in October 83). This song brings back every great memory of that time. I bet I’ve listened to this song 500 times in my lifetime. Thank you forever Lindsey, you’ll never know how much this song means to me and I’ll always know how old this song is.

Same thing happened to me but there was no happy ending . I met a girl in college 3 months before I joined the Army. A month before going to basic training she decides to break up with me because she said that if I leave, she’ll feel lonely and heartbroken. Till this day, I feel devastated and betrayed. This was back in 1996. Anita, if you are reading this, shame on you. You could’ve waited till I came home for leave, created a friendship with me while I served or we could’ve gotten married and you would’ve been with me in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Ya, that was my permanent station. Hawaii. Honestly if I can go back to 1996 and never join I would and maybe find a better girlfriend.

I know what ya mean. If I could go back to the '80s again, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Only condition: going back to then knowing what I know now. God, I'd be 11 years old when this came out. Going through puberty again..........OY! Growing out a moustache in the last portion of 8th grade wasn't so bad, but the whole voice changing/voice cracking.......mmmmmm. I gotta think about THAT one!

Lindsey Buckingham is only underrated by people who don't know Lindsey Buckingham. He is a true musical artist in every sense of the word. He can sing well, has great range, sing with incredible feeling, arrange, write lyrics, produce, and man, can he play a guitar! I had the privilege of seeing him live during his "Out of the Cradle" album tour - good lord - guitar wizardry. How he can play the way he does on a guitar for extended periods of time - without a pick - is simply beyond me. I've seen Lindsey on his own in concert, Fleetwood Mac with him in concert, and Fleetwood Mac without him in concert (twice), and the first two I mentioned had so much more depth to them, and they really REALLY missed his voice, and his guitar-playing.

I met a girl at a BBQ who was a friend of a friend & she commented that she couldn't stand the music that was playing. Forget what song. I asked her what she was into & the first name she said was Linsey Buckingham. I nearly dropped my beer. This was prob 8yrs ago & she was maybe in her late 20s. I was so blown away. I was prob 40yrs old at the time. She seemed surprised that I even knew who she was talking about! People who know truly appreciate what an extraordinarily talented musician he is. This song takes me back man!

Walter had "Magnet and Steel" also likely a song about Stevie Nicks. Dwight Twilley had a pretty big career in country/crossover rock. Bob Welch had a couple pretty big hits- Ebony Eyes and Sentimental Lady. Really great to see all those awesome musicians in one video, kind of like when you see multi groups for the hall of fame inductions or an event, like the Concert for George Harrison.

Two of the guitarists are former FMac guitarist Bob Weston and Bob Welch (with the glasses) and another one is Walter Egan, the guy who did "Magnet & Steel" in 1978 that featured Lindsey and Stevie. And I only figured that out TODAY watching the video in HD for the first time ever. For some reason, back in 1981, I seem to remember the video much darker, and on a smaller TV set, plus I didn't know who Weston was, or what Bob Welch or Walter Egan looked like. So there's that.

I lived exactly that scenario at 16. Drove down to the pizza shop on Main St, by that time this song ended and Van Halen ‘ Oh Pretty Woman ‘ was beginning. Waited for it to end, went in the pizza shop, ate a slice and had a soda, played a few games of Asteroids with the 75 cents change I had and then drove home. First song playing when I started the car was Eddie Money’s ‘Shakin’…… I’d go back in a heartbeat.

I loved this song when it came out in New Zealand around 1982 and I was about 12 years old. I'd forgotten it until tonight when I was reading Lindsey Buckingham's bio and saw the song referenced. Oh yeah, that song! I clicked on it and, wow. I knew every little trill, every feathery guitar note, every dependable beat like the back of my hand, like a stamp on my heart. I'm 52. It's been 40 years but I'm 12 again, in my parents' kitchen, standing on a chair listening to the radio on top of the fridge. It enthralled me then and it thrills me now. Thank-you for this gift of a song, Lindsey Buckingham.

Yeah, good thoughts. So THAT’S how old I was when it came out??!!🤣😆.. it’s funny when you’re experiencing things for the first time, such as good music, and how it strikes you in such a profound way. I’m a 52 ‘old man’ so as you know now, but it’s not that we’re getting old and how we keep grasping at this good old music, but rather the music today is terrible & it can’t hold a candle!! 👍

Me too! I'm 52 later this year. If I could go back to those childhood days, I'd be there in a flash (& I'd stay there!) 😂

Lindsey Buckingham is such a wonderful guitar player. This song only has 10 lines of unique lyrics but his guitar playing makes it magic.

My God, the sublime efficiency of those ghostly guitar solos. The man is not just a musical genius, he has machine gun fingers with Merlin's magic touch.

This is one of the most beautiful songs ive ever heard. My dad played this on the record player when I was a kid growing up and makes me happy like I'm a kid again

I find it hipnotising to just look at his facial expressions, shifts from romantic, angry/slightly agressive to a sort of hidden comedy like. Love his curls shaking as he nods ❤

@@tonygloster3483 Yes he really goes all out! I saw him on solo tour and he autographed his cd for me..Ive also seen Stevie on 98' Enchanted solo tour. Michael McDonald of Doobie. Brother opened for her. Another great concert. Fleetwood Mac was great as usual. First time I saw them in 87 without Lindsey when he needed a break. Then saw the all together in 98.
