Just to establish my credentials I’m a 35 year pro player and have a commercial recording studio. I use the Kemper Stage for Tv, studio, and touring. I’ve owned a Fractal AX8, Eleven Rack, and have many pedals. That being said I could always use a grab n go unit that fits in a gigbag or backpack. I saw MX5 and found one used for $300. After doing a side by side with my Kemper I’ve decided to keep the MX5. I won’t sell my Kemper for my most important gigs because it just sounds better, has all the switching I need, is built like a tank, and instills confidence in the producers and engineers I work in with (yes that matters). However, the user interface of the MX5 is so good that I can’t even express how much I love building patches. I wish the Kemper had this exact GUI. Oof. That would be heaven. The MX5 sounds great, has all the basic FX you need, drives are decent but truthfully I don’t like any digital drives besides maybe the Strymon Sunset which is decent. The MX5 will be a perfect solution for quick church gigs, rehearsals, and anywhere portability and ease of use outweighs the full pro pedigree of the Kemper. If I scored sound quality Kemper being a 8.9 the MX5 would be a 7.9 which at $400 new is really impressive. Hope this helps anyone considering the MX5. Admittedly I’m not a huge Line 6 fan because to my ears there’s a very specific sound that all the amps and fx have that just doesn’t feel great under my fingers or sound inspiring to my ears. I know some guys who sound amazing using a Helix so clearly it’s just my opinion and not reality. A great player will sound great through a budget unit because 2023 is a great time for guitar gear!

I personally like the MX5 because of the processing power and is perfect size for my home studio. You really can't go wrong with either its a matter of taste.

Either unit will serve you well. It really depends on what you are used to and what you are willing to learn. I had the Helix, and never used it. Sold it and I went with the Pod Go because, I've been a Line 6 user for years. If I were just beginning, and wanted overkill, I'd certainly consider the Headrush.

Other than having only 3 foot switches I am really happy with the MX5 with its dual amp and cab capability and processing power. It's doing everything I need and more and I am getting some great sounding rigs set up. Having no editor for me is a plus. I also like being able to put the effects in any order I desire by just dragging them around .... super easy. I almost bought the Pod Go because of the extra foot switches but am very happy with my decision. The 100 bones I saved on the MX5 will buy me a separate 3 of 4 button foot switch for a bit more control. Have not had to crack the manual even once, for me ... that's everything !!

Positioning the looper at the beginning of the chain is great for editing patches while the looper plays back your guitar. At the end is for performances with switching patches.

And in the middle of the chain before reverb is best for Frippertronics style looping, which is why I prefer the Line 6 Looper.

Cool comparison. I like them both....That said, one of my favourite "ambient sound tools" is taking my 30 year old Casio keyboard and plugging it into my 20 year old Zoom Multi-Fx and then into my EHX looper. .....You have not lived until you took a 30 year old tuba, flute or cymbal sample and fed it through lo-fi fuzz, flange, pitch shift and delay......complete with volume swell's......Instant 1980's Sci-Fi film soundtrack glory and cost's next to nothing. Try it, you will love it. Merry Christmas.

@@chordsoforion Oh do it. Cheap old synthesizer, cheap old multi--fx, a looper, and your creativity.....It just has that lo--fi vibe that you get from 1980's Sci-Fi soundtracks. There is this warm, less than perfect quality that new gear somehow just misses. It costs nothing to try. Give it a whirl. It's fun. Merry Christmas. Cheers!

MX5 wins here for me for ease of use, price, and good sound. I own a Helix but feel that Headrush makes the easiest to use interface on the market. Helix has a big learning curve but once you get the hang of everything it's a beast. HX Edit software is great for tweaking too. If I was going for anything besides Helix from Line 6 I'd probably get HX Stomp or HX Stomp XL. Add an expression pedal and a couple other pedals & you're set...more powerful than Pod Go and plenty of foot switches. Pod Go does not allow you to use Helix patches but Stomps do.

Great video. Thank you. I use the MX5 for live rock/country music. This is a great unit for a "3 rig guy" - 1) clean fender, 2) dirty Marshall, 3) overdriven Marshall. I have a regular, overdriven and lead scene for each rig and play blistering country and hard rock- I'm in heaven and my back doesn't hurt from dragging my Marshall cords and pedals around anymore. I know several people that have fallen down the rabbit hole of twerking hundreds of tones and rigs, but why? Maybe for studio use? My main complaint about the MX5 is that you don't get that tube interplay between player and amp, resulting natural feedback, and that cleaner sound when you gently roll off your volume at the guitar. But now I carry all my gear in a small suitcase, plug in to the PA and sound 95% as good! The tone of the MX5 in the video sounds more like the actual amp (good or bad).

I love your videos man. Thank you for making them. You are very relaxing to listen to (and watch) but always make stuff on things that are interesting and always show a love for music! I think the Headrush is leagues above the Line 6. Much more dynamic and responds to pickups a lot more. Something about the Line 6 isn't for me, sonically. Especially with distorted sounds/tones. But hey, just opinions right. So subjective. Let's be honest, all this shit is fantastic. It's an exciting time to be alive! :)

Really great comparison. I bought the PodGo as a backup to my Helix and wanted the extra footswitches but I was really interested in the Headrush. I think it sounds great.

I love the idea of these. Highly tempted by both, but the Pod swings it by a hair for me, as it seems a little more flexible overall despite the DSP issues. I have a Boss Katana too, so I can probably get around the DSP problems with a bit of creative thinking. I know for most people, they'd argue for this money why not go for a budget pedal board. Well, when you don't have the luxury of a tech, if and when something breaks down, you now have a chasm of possible broken things to figure out. Troubleshooting that on the fly in the middle of a gig will probably get you fired. 😅😂😜 With these, if you have a decent amp already, no trouble just taking out one cable and going direct into the amp for the rest of the gig. Another thing to consider, these type of multi-fx units are perfect for pub/small venue gigs. Easy to carry around, don't require too much maintenance, sounds can be worked on at home, Pod go has snapshots and banks too, so, ideal for that one cover song that needs a bit of extra, usually studio added sauce! 😅✌ Useful video man, thanks! 😊

I am returning my POD GO because of the lack of power the unit has. It's great if you're running presets or small things... but I wanted something that would entirely replace my 11+pedal board... as one programmable unit... Scenes are nice, don't get me wrong.. but there is an audio dropout when you switch between scenes or presets... which means you're absolutely stuck with at max 5 effects (of your choice) + wah + volume (you don't get to choose those) + EQ (you cannot replace, only disable). I feel like the PODGO with a helix processor would've been MUCH more appealing... but then again people would've just skipped the twice the price LT version if that existed.

I have an Eleven Rack and also a Mesa/Boogie with an HX Effects in 4CM. Just yesterday I decided to (most likely) sell the Boogie and the HX Effects and just get back to an all in one thing. Interesting to trace the Eleven's legacy through the MX-5.... It doesn't look like they dropped anything at all. I find that I don't really need a "kitchen sink" solution, in reality I tend to stick to more straightforward sounds. With the HX Effects I started adding multiple modulations recently though. One thing that bugs me as a sometime DSP effects designer is that nobody publishes a block diagram of their algorithms, which would make them (a) easy to understand (b) possibly make more obvious the fact that many of the "models" differ from each other in only small ways, which might just as easily be handled by a setting on an existing model. e.g. let's suppose I find a compressor that I like using. Am I going to henceforth try 20 other compressors? Probably not. It's the same way for me every time. I get a box that can do 1,000 things and I use it for 3. Anyway, enough about me... great video, thanks for getting to the heart of the matter. For the time being I am hanging onto my 11R and after I unload the Boogie and other connected stuff I may well pick up an MX-5. I don't gig, only do recording. I don't even use a footswitch at the moment with the 11R. I had an FCB-1010 but it was too huge. Also have a Softstep which is much smaller. So if buttons is really an issue I can use MIDI.

I still have 11R also and just started playing with it again. I use it in my rack mount in my desk and finding out I like it more than I remember. Thinking about getting the MX5 to play with since I'm used to the 11R.

Having had a couple of MFX pedals without PC editing, I'd never go back, hence Pod GO. Currently owning a Digitech RP360XP (3-stomp-switches) and a RP500 (effectively 6 stomp switches), I would go for the "more is better" option. Having owned a Mooer GE200 with a small volume pedal, I'd also go for the larger vol pedal (easier to control). Essentially the Pod Go wins; if you need more than 8 sequential pedal FX I'd suggest you've bigger issues! Most of the one's I have programmed are 3-or-4-sequential, 5/6 if I use a booster and/or an external synth-in-the-loop (but that's always external anyway). But great review.

This video actually helped me decide to go POD Go since live performance and quick access to banks and patches are crucial with the ability to turn on/off effects on the fly. If studio was my primary, I would go with MX5 or the more expensive Prime or Helix. Good comparison! Thanks!

I bought a POD GO about a month ago. I had a BOSS ME-70 for 11 yrs, but starting acting up on me. I play every Sunday on a worship team. The POD GO is actually more than I really need. PLUS this video was 2 yrs ago. The unit's LP was $500, and it was On Sale for $375. How wrong could I go buying it? You are correct on the FX choices, Overwhelming. Also on the Amps and Cabinets, as they also have a folder called Legacy amps, as well as an IR Folder. Line 6 also just had a major FREE update, so even more FX, amps, cab's, and also MICS. In regard to the Mics, I am also able to move the selected mic around, up to 1 FT from the cabinet, and also straight ON or a 45 degree angle. SO many options all around. I also like 2 other features ---- you can assign "multiple" effects to one foot switch, and it shows up in the stomp mode as "multiple", so if you want to create an extra Gain on one switch. You can also move to FOUR Snapshots, which is within each stomp mode, so lots of options there too, where like on worship music, you can have a Clean, Lead, Crunch, and Ambient snapshot within the same patch. And after a month, I'm not even scratching the surface of its ability. Thank you, good video. Watched it just cause I was curious what you'd say.

I just bought the MX5, I believe it will be the best for me out of the 2 due to the size for traveling and ease of use, I wish it didn’t have the expression pedal and used that space for some more preset buttons ,I have a Rocktron midimate I can use but that is besides the point , or not have the pedal to make the unit smaller . The Expression pedal could easy have been an add on . Sound wise I’d say they each have an edge over the other with certain amps etc but overall both are great sounding .

One limitation of the MX5 seems to be it can not run from a power brick like the Truetone CS7. I’d sell my HX Stomp for the MX5 for the easier interface, more versatile looper, built in expression and more powerful DSP but don’t really want 2 plugs for my pedalboard. If there’s a solution I’d definitely look at it. Mid size modellers are where the gap in the market seems to be, Pod Go is the perfect form factor, let down by it’s DSP limitations. The new Boss unit looks great but is too wide. HX effects is a good size but no amp modelling. The search goes on!

So true. I gig 4 days a week and i only travel on a motorcycle. pod go is a tad bit bigger for carrying in a gig bag and hx effects is perfect, but as you said there is no Amp modelling. Although it can load IRs , it doesn't give the amp feel. Mx5 is perfect but just 3 footswitches makes it a little difficult for a live situation. These companies need to make one really compact yet powerful processor/modeller.

I think you pretty much nailed it on every aspect. I just replaced my helix LT with an MX5 and have not regretted it one bit. The JCM800 2203 amp in MX5 is better than ANY of the amp offerings in the Helix ecosystem.

Great video Bill, it is interesting that here in the UK the pod go is £360 and the headrush £400, I personally would choose pod go , I have tried a couple of other options with only 3 footswitches and it is just too limiting for me.

To my ear Headrush has more analogue vibe to it. I don't care about cab/amp models/modeling because I still record my music old fashioned way via mic/real amp/real cab so I don't lose the "voodoo" of my valves (lamps), wood of the cabinet, quality if the speaker and all great things between....At the end of the day all that counts (in my case) is good sound which would be usable in my music/songs . If someone listens to the music I create he/she never cares about convenience of making it. It is all about the result. The way I composed it, the sound and the magic within.

The POD has more footswitches and Helix' Snapshots, which makes it more suitable for live performances and gigs. I hate having to tapdance during songs. But still tempted to give the MX5 a try, especially with the Headrush FRFR speaker.

The POD GO doesn't have quite all the delays from the Helix FWIW, it is missing "Cosmos Echo" Roland Space echo clone (which seems like it'd be fun).

Thank you Bill. I'm really struggling with a decision between these two guys (and also go with a Boss ME-80 feeding into a pigtronix Infinity 2 looper). I am a living-room player, not playing live, but am trying to optimize a problem with 3 variables: 1) ease of effect edits without going into deep menus or a computer , have a good looper with decay, and go for 'on the fly' instant-edit frippertronics (which would favor the ME-80 + looper) , 2) the quality and creativity of the effects (which would favor the Pod Go, in particular its magic delays à la Hologram, just like you said here and in another video), and 3) the number of effects and effect chain flexibility (which would favor the MX5, in particular since I don't care about IRs/ amps/cabinets and all that jazz, I care about 'effects'). I still don't know what to go for, but your video does help a great deal getting the facts. Will I ever be be able to make a decision...not sure...but at least, now, I *should* be able to ;-) Thanks.

I deeply love my podgo. I also would have said prior to owning one that I don't care about amp models. But after spending a year with one, the Amp models have grown on me to the point that I adore them. I had to learn each model just like you learn a new real amp. Once I learned them, they became buddies to me, and I am also a living room/basement/home player. I do love having an external looper (and you have one). I would suggest that with either MX5 or PodGo your external looper will remain the most fun and flexible way to loop. I do use the podGo Looper for the things it does that my external looper doesn't do, but 99% of the time I just want a simple and instant looping solution always at a single tap of my right foot. Buy the podGo for snapshots, and for its awesome effects, including amazing modulated delays, reverbs, and modulations. Get the amps for free, and figure out on your own time, if you care. If you do care mostly about effects, the PodGo has more of them, and in my opinion they are more capable. The MX5 has better amp models, as the above review suggests, but only a tiny bit better.

I went for it because it's less expensive and because I think I can learn what/how individual effects work together from a more fundamental perspective than the fancier - and I'm sure nicer, Pod effects. @@WarrenPostma no I am keeping my 2 small amps (20W each) on "clean" for stereo and rendition of the MX5's IRs. I am totally new to the world of amps/preamps/IRs, I never cared for it much, but you are right, it is actually important and quite pleasant to explore.

ndon85 was in a flat patch and was struggling to stay motivated the pod gave me a new love of playing again.Making patches is also a very enjoyable process for the pod its very easy if hooked up to a laptop.

I really wish the MX5 had PC software like the Pod. The MX5 has a FAR easier on-device system for editing your stuff, but when I'm sitting at my desk anyway, it's much nicer to have a full screen on my PC to do my editing even easier/faster. So that part is better for the Pod, but anytime I'm not at my PC, I'd MUCH rather use the MX5's interface and touch screen to make any adjustments. A smaller version of the MX5 without the expression pedal would be even better, since I very rarely have a need for an expression pedal, and it has the ability to hook one up if I need to. I'd rather just not have one attached so that the device could be even smaller for travel.

I own the mx5 and I had it shipped out a for warranty works. In lieu off, I had to rent an HX stomp. Gotta say that amp modeling on the MX5 is way better than the hx which is Im assuming the same as the Pod go. Its apparent on the video as well. The mx5 seems to be more warm. Line 6 wins in terms of drives and time based effects.

It’s the second time I’m watching this video, and today I had to stop right when our host speaks about the ruggedness of these units. I don’t have any of these units but I own other equipment made partially or completely out of some sort of plastic. I just think that every video demoing or reviewing any gear that contains some sort of plastic should rethink its ways of testing the ruggedness of that equipment in face of casual; intense; regional or world touring. Plastic is all around us in many forms and applications. Like in transportation, industrial appliances, communications, etc.. shoo all keyboard keys are made out of it and we never question it’s durability. So please, unless your in the presence of some sort of egg thin plastic sound toy that you can crush with your fingers or just a sneeze; don’t say it’s not tour worthy. Now I go watch the rest.

I’ve owned the pod go, and the headrush pedalboard, headrush much better in my opinion. Listening to your demo, still think headrush sounds better, and easier to use.

This is a good comparison and I was actually looking for a silent practice modeler at night. Kind of a bummer that Pod Go was becoming my first choice until would I need to hook up to my PC just to stream audio using headphones.

One difference that very rarly is mentioned in reviews is the patch managment. Line6 still uses banks and patches and you have a limited number of patches that you can store. Headrush just use their devices as a external harddrive, so the amount of storable patches is only limited by the size of the storage, and their is plenty of space on it. Its the same with IRs. In the Headrush devices patches are organizable into kind of custumizable libraries, so that any patch can be part of different libraries. Thats great to organize patches for gigs or separate your patches from each other when you play in different bands. I dont know if Line6 has a comparable possibility to organize patches in such a way.

Scenes and setlists are supported on the MX5, but song view is not. And it is cool that the rigs are compatible with all Headrush devices. The POD Go offers 128 user preset slots. Each preset can be stored with up to 4 snapshots of the patch for variations. in addition, the POD Go editing software allows presets to be imported and exported separately or in setlists.

I've been using valves since I was a child and building and playing valve hifi and guitar amps for two decades. I have an innate feeling for these things and I also have a long background in programming going back to 1980 and digital audio. The Headrush gear is just amazing, its just the most realistic gear until you hit AxeFX prices and they are not £2,000 better. Line6 - Fizzy, sugar coated, no real similarity with any valve circuit I've ever played. They are tiring to play. Just my 2p worth!

I love my Headrush Pedalboard and my MX5! Use the full size for larger gigs and the MX5 for smaller gigs and rehearsals. Pro tip- the Gator 49 key keyboard ATA case works wonderfully as a case for the pedalboard.

The HX Stomp and MX5 seem more comparable to me than the PodGo and MX5, except that when you consider the price of the MX5, it's a no brainer. Get the MX5.

Great video as always. I'd be curious to see a comparison of MIDI in and out features. I've just recently upgraded to the Headrush MX5 and am starting to figure out how to best integrate it along side my other midi controllable effects.

I have a preliminary conviction that The MX5 wins with the price size sounds and effects I had the GigBoard which I returned since it had a faulty on off switch but I got pretty nice sounds from it. A great and comprehensive video thank you always.

Really considering the MX5.I made a small pedalboard with: Tech 21 FlyRig RK5v2, which gives me clean/dirty/reverb/tap tempo delay/boost and compressor, Mooer Babybomb, and their 009 JCM900 pedal, Ibanez Chorus AND a DOD drop pedal, lol. It sounds good and is still small real estate, but it's a lot of sh*t, that could disappear for the MX5 & keep the Babybomb, so I can run a cab on stage, and still feed FOH/ears. My only thing with MX5 is the lack of buttons. I play mostly hard rock, so I don't really need all the amps, but ideally clean, dirty tone, and a selection of modulation pedals, plus reverb & delay, which could all be controlled by a small MIDI controller, yes?

Fantastic in depth review. I decided to go with the line 6 for the pc editor. I don't want to spend all the time setting up my initial presets tapping on a little screen, though it is very nice to adjust them once they are setup. What happens when the touch screen stops working?

Having owned a Helix and the MX5 - "tapping the little screen" and setting up an extremely usable preset on the Helix takes about 2 minutes. Maybe less. It's literally so much easier and "good to go" from the start than the Helix it's ridiculous. I spent all my time with the Helix trying to dial and tweak a sound on the terrible PC editor and was never satisfied.

Hey Bill! As someone who's used both, what are your thoughts on the MX5 vs. the Gigboard? I have a Gigboard I've been really happy with for a couple years, but the expression pedal and smaller size/weight are very appealing and have me debating whether to stick with what works or sell the Gigboard to switch to an MX5.

I am not sure why anyone would buy the Gigboard with the MX5 out. Lots cheaper and I don't believe it is missing anything major in the way of capabilities.

I had the gigboard and I just changed it for the mx5, I can only say that I do not miss anything at all, with the option of being able to change banks by pressing two buttons simultaneously I do not miss the fourth switch at all, in addition to the fact that the expression pedal is already integrated and the comfort of transporting it I have no doubt the change was a good decision.

Iridium is not a multi effect modeller. If all you want is an amp on your pedalboard, buy iridium. If you want everything Iridium does and more, in very little space, the MX5. If you want to use stompboxes for ALL modulation and time effects, and only want a box to replace your amp, for direct-in-to-PA-mixing-board gigs, the Iridium is the thing.

Thank you for the great video! In your previous review of the Headrush you said it did not have a stereo effect loop, only mono. But here you say it does. Did they upgrade it? Also, what is that blue thing that you are using on the strings. Did I hear you say "ebow"?

The Gigboard has a mono effects loop. the MX5 and the larger Pedalboard have stereo effect loops.

Good video. I guess if you don't have many pedals then the Headrush could be the way to go whereas if you have lots of Boss or Strymon pedals you can overcome the POD Go's limitations by hooking up extra effects in the FX loop. Line 6 also has a great reputation for great sounding delays and reverbs. For me, it would be Line 6 as I prefer PC-based editing when it comes to tweaking tones and I have other pedals I'd want to use. My big feet wouldn't cope with the Headrush pedal, but it sounds great.

@@jbjb9691 You can edit the POD GO from the unit or via a computer - it's pretty easy to use. The limitations are the blocks. Whilst there are 10 blocks I think six are reserved and cannot be changed. These cover volume, wah, amp, fx loop etc. This only leaves four blocks for effects. What I was trying to say was if you have lots of pedals then the POD GO could be an option as you can add them to the POD GO via the FX loop. If you want everything in one unit the Headrush has more blocks and DSP processing power.

MX5 is the best in operation and sound in my opinion. The touch screen makes it so much much easier to create your own sound. One thing you did not demonstrate .... Distortion Does the Line POD have Microphones and IRL's?

I never see sound quality as much of a factor in these effects processor comparison videos. Bandwidth is important. Less hiss clearer tones etc. I think that should come first!!

Hah, oh man, I've litterally built a pedalboard around Plethora 5X and one drive pedal, OC-3 Octaver by BOSS and a B9 Organ Machine. Neat and nice but that Headrush can be a micro solution for smaller gigs or flying when the space is limited

I love your playing, I wanted to ask you if you have tried the Valeton GP-200 LT ? You can get them for around $270... I am debating on spending more money and getting the Headrush MX5... I don't know how much better the MX5 is over this unit... If it is only slightly better, I will just get the Valeton...

I have had both (valeton gp200 and nx5) and can compare them side by side, and headrush wins by far. Valeton has good amp and cab emulators, and distortion and drive emulators. But the effects are weak, reverbs and delays modulations are not up to par. Headrush wins in almost everything, it also has almost no DSP limitation and is very powerful, much more than Valeton which does not have a flexible effects chain.

The only thing Headrush doesn't have is a desktop editor. But it is totally unnecessary with its touch screen, it is so easy to edit that it is unnecessary to use a computer

Both sound really good.. But Size matters, the Amp Sound seems more natural, amp-like, at the Pod for me. Would be nice to hear more classical guitar sounds to classify and compare both units. To much delay and ambient sounds for me. Pod Go is about 80€ (92$) cheaper than the mx5 in Germany. You can´t do anything wrong with both.

If Headrush made a MX5 with the same size and same number of footswitches as the POD Go i would be very interested, three is just to few and you apparently cant use external footwitches in the expression port like on the POD Go either.

Agreed that the 3 foot switches are limiting on the MX5. You can however, expand foot switches by connecting an external MIDI controller. The manual includes information on what can be controlled (such as turning each effect block on and off).

@@chordsoforion Yes, i know that but personally i feel that one of the big points of having a floor pedal is to not have to program a midi pedal and that the footswitches are fully integrated in function so that the LED´s indicate the state of the effect and sometimes there are limitations on what you can do with midi compared to built in switches as well. For me its a no go.

The MX5 volume pedal is a little small, but workable for me, as my feet are not very long. The POD Go is a little more comfortable because of the larger size. They both do the job well though.

I bought the Line 6., NO wireless.. That I just bought wireless myself.. Ended up saving money. Specs were the same except for the Wifi. And lets face it.. The wifi it comes with is probably not the highest quality. So...... I go the unit without.. And bought my own wifi from Roland. For the same price.. I can use the Wifi connector on any amp.. Not just the line 6

I m thinking of selling my few pedals to grab one of these. Can anybody tell me if I can expect same quality of effects with these modelers than I would get with mid priced pedals (mid price I mean around 100 to 150 euros per pedals ... I m not speaking of cheapest not more expensive pedals). I m specialty thinking about the reverb delay modulation stuff. Tks

Yes - I think either unit would provide the quality of effects that you have in mind. I would suggest downloading the user manuals and looking at the effects list of both to determine what might work well for your needs.

I love my podGo deeply but I have to admit I want that headrush midi capability, and the headrush looper with its progress bar, and when a PodGo effect has no wet/dry mix control on the effect, it's really really frustrating. Even if there was a way to MIX a dry signal from some point in the PodGo out to output, to allow you to wet/dry around some of the weirder effects, the PodGo would become 8x more powerful. I cannot honestly see myself using the MX5 in a gig ever, because of its pitiful footswitch count. I also deeply love the PodGo's snapshot feature. Alternatively PodGo models should have a wet dry or intensity on every block so you can let your own chosen amount of dry signals through every effect block. A "bypass signal" amount (0-100%) on each slot in the chain would also permit this.
