in theory, but this has been proven to not work for a few reasons. 1. what if you lost 100 games straight? lets say you started with $100 bet. That lost so you are down $110 (juice). the next bet would have to be for $210 and you would have to win it to break even and be back at zero. Lets say you lost on that bet too. Now you are down $341 after just two bets. After 7 bets and not winning you would be risking $10K. Remember, this started 7 bets ago with $100! You can see how you would have to risk high amounts in a hurry if you hit a losing streak. But lets say you have a billion dollars and you could afford to do this (which would open a new question of why you are only betting $100 at the start), you would quickly run into an issue. That issue is called betting limits. Casinos and sports books or the local guy in your area all have limits. These limits are not mistake. They are in place to stop you from doing what your asking to do, double a bet forever till it wins. Lets say you have a $10K per bet limit. if you do not win that 7th bet, you are stuck $10K. No way around that. So yes, in theory you can bet double each time till you win. That will get you back to 0. But as you can see, its not practical and does not work in the real world.

mike jess i was thinking start with a $5 bet and double till you win. Like in mlb bet on sub .500 teams till they win and in most cases the sub .500 teams are alway's + so when you win you win +. You can probably do that for a year then go up to $10 a bet for another year. I doubt a mlb team will lose 100 games in a row. Betting on mlb teams that are + and doubling your bet till you win will make you lot's of $$$$ in the long run if you have the bankroll and keep the starting bet small

If that loses and you want to bet them again as a favorite try might be -200. So you would have to bet $80 to win $40. To add to that, the Yankees have lost 52 games this year and won 86. Most of those they were big favorites on. If you check the historic lines and your system you will see that you would have been better off betting against them then with them. This could apply to list MLB teams. NFL is one -110, but there is a point spread. So yes, you could get the bet wrong 100 times in a row. Or even 7 times in a row like I showed earlier.

mike jess yes that's what i mean bet against the favorite team so the team you would place your bet on would be + thats why i say bet on teams that are under .500win percentage those teams most of the time are + and out of 10 games they win 3-4 games. And if you keep doubling up when you do win lets say you were betting $5 and had doubled 3 times that would be a $20 bet and that team was +200 you would win double your bet and make your money back.
