thank you so much sir! my school doesn’t do many experiments so it was great to see you demonstrate them even if it wasn’t a hands-on experience!

I'm also here after reading K&K 's introduction to mechanics... I hope you'll post more useful experiments , sir ❤Thank you ❤ Edit : I didn't even notice this video is 4 yrs old 😮👏🏻

That's great to hear! So pleased it helped you out. Plenty more videos in the playlist - some may help. Yes it is old - I was learning to do things on KZfaq back then. Still learning! Hope your studies continue to go well.

Came here as I was not able to understand it in "Introduction to Mechanics" by Kleppner. Thank you so much for the video.

Thanks so much, sir! I was really confused by the diagrams in my textbook and since I'm from a 3rd world country, I couldn't really experience it first hand. Your video made it easy to understand!

Excellent - so pleased it helped. 'Third World' countries have produced some of our best and most able scientists so don't think of that as a limitation! Your hard work will pay off! Which country were you watching from?

@@AnthonyFrancisJones I'm from Myanmar. Right now political issues in our country made it unsafe for us students to go to school. People are getting shot left and right. Me and many other kids had to learn via online classes but it isnt going so well because our current government cuts off all internet connections at 9pm to avoid people from spreading awareness. Here's a brief summary of what's going on www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-55902070 . Me and many of my friends are protesting as well so we can't really focus on our studies that much so we rely on youtube videos like yours for most of our education. I'm sorry for rambling on about this and thank you again for this video.

@@throwaway1015 I do hope you are OK and that you can continue your studies. It means a massive amount to me that the small work that I do can be of help to those trying to study in your country. Do please look after yourself and your friends and continue your studies whenever you can.

I'd be very interested to see motion on a track which has a slope with point heights of y=(ax)^2 ? I'm thinking might produce some interesting results when masses that are rectangular, have their orientation wrt track changed. same mass, same slope, but different accelerations?
@AnthonyFrancisJones
@AnthonyFrancisJones 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is interesting to do different shaped tracks, especially with different masses. I have been meaning to do a video on that for a while using cable trunking or curtain track which allows you to bend it to the shape you need easily. Thanks for watching!

Yes, I did this as a kind of joke homage to some of my previous pupils who seemed to just try anything mathematically to answer a question even if the equations were for an unrelated bit of physics! Well spotted and good luck with your studies and exams.

@@ahirdey899 Great - in the UK I think most school age pupils will have seen it but it is clear that even here less and less do as it is quite an expensive bit of apparatus. A lot of kids will have played with an air hockey table (game/toy) too which is and air track in two dimensions!
