In the 2nd example given condition is min, that converts in max. Mutliply with -1.

For your last example, isn't the third constraint for X+Y-s3=4 a non-binding constraint because it has a SURPLUS of 3 not a slack as u mentioned?

+Hamza Khalif You're right; it's a surplus (3:50). I wrongly called it "slack" at 5:09. It was a slip of the tongue.
