One of these days I'll post a comment as soon as you post a video and have a chance at you reading it. I don't know if you feel like a pro bait maker, you come across as some guy in his garage having fun, you ignore or create your own terminology for tools and techniques and that is part of what's so great about your videos. But, just in case you didn't know, you are THE guy making baits. Like even if we wanted someone better, you are all we have. Haven't seen anything out of solarbaits in awhile, but youtube seems to be dividing creators and us video junkies, and there was one other video by some guy, seemed like he knew what he was doing, but he never made another one. You sir are the cream of the crop, sultan of swat if you will. Therefore I think it's your job to guide all future bait makers. Some of your best videos whether your bait design is successful or not is when you are trying new designs. What I don't see is you revisiting those failed designs and seeing what will make them work. I think you should do more videos showing your technique and give some more detail on your decision making. I know it's hard to explain something you do instinctively. More than anything though, I'd love for you to create a garbage series. Making baits out of junk. How that looks in my head, because I know I'm not going to explain it right, is baits made out of bits and bobs of junk. Baits that don't look like other fish but that represent different aspects of a bait whether it be flash or form or a particular action or behavior. Something that shows the individual points of a bait that attract fish and maybe show how those have evolved into modern baits. Basically an overly dramatic back to the basics series that shows us non rockstars the reasoning behind bait design. Also you should catch fish with the junk baits or it doesn't count. You create these beautiful baits, that I think you should probably sell more of, and I love watching your videos, but I want a little more technical information. Even if you just started with a gum wrapper tied to a hook and explained that fish are dumb and like shiny things and moved on to a rattle and said fish have sensitive ears and attack anyone loud, I'm going to watch it. Anyway, hope you read this, looking forward to the next video. If you need anymore of these genius ideas, my email is cliftonkramer1@gmail.com

Oooh new bait! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately, you have inspired me to clean my garage. Maybe even make something to send to you.

This is the most noise/sounds that Marling has ever made in a video. Needlessly to say that I am very so more entertained by that. As always the lure looks amazing and an idea if you ever return to remaking this lure, adding a lip to make it a line-through crank bait with the soft plastic tail. The action must be amazing. ON TO THE NEXT BAIT!!!
