Been binge watching you two since I stumbled on one of your prank shorts. I love you guys. I am married to an African man for almost 15 years. You guys remind me of us. Especially the back and forth banter 😂. When two cultures meet its always gonna be interesting. But I think he fell in love with me more because I can cook and love to do it. My mother set me up well. She always said the way to a man’s heart is thru his tummy. She started teaching me to cook at 11. Culturally I had no choice, I am Polynesian and gender roles are super strong in the islands. And once I learnt how to make a dish, she never made it again, she would get me or my sisters to make it. When I left home at 18 I was ready and met my husband at 22, he was shocked how I could cook and he looked forward to anything I put in front of him. Even if it was left overs. I am glad he is not picky because that would make it harder. On those nights of the week that I cannot be bothered to cook, he is happy to make himself eggs on toast. That is all I trust him to make in the kitchen 😂 and also my ego and upbringing cannot stand to see him in the kitchen 😆. He is happy to get in there but unless I am sick I don’t like it 😂. It’s like MY TERRITORY 😊 Good luck with your cooking journey ❤
