I have a lot of regrets in life, and one of them is not seeing Lingua Ignota live before she retired the project.

I can see why she had to cancel some of her shows sometime last year. These screams are gutteral and hope she finds a way or has found a way to preserve her voice. Doing shows like this every night and screaming like this is bound to hurt your voice if you aren't careful. Powerful performance though. Caligula is such an album wow
@athon3173 жыл бұрын
I was at her last concert in Leipzig before she cancelled the rest of the tour dates. It was very impressive. As soon as the set was over she dropped the mic and ran right through the crowd to get outside and then backstage. She was exhausted from reliving the themes of her music night in and night out. Her music stems from real life situations and she goes through these emotions again and again. It wasn't about her voice. Her voice was clear. It was about her body and mind. As strong as we think we are, we cannot take everything and she admitted to it. Which was very strengthening to witness.

Yeah, I would worry more about the emotional exhaustion than voice shredding. She's clearly still processing heavy shit and that's cool but with success comes a demand that she keep revisiting her trauma for the audience. At some point that's going to outweigh whatever catharsis she gets or drive to keep doing it. And hopefully at some point she can't relate to the material as well. Hell, maybe she's already gone past into unhealthy and permanently damaging, maybe not. That's her business.
@daianealves15283 жыл бұрын
i believe she knows how to do it without hurting her voice in terms of technique. i think that the ''problem'' is that her music takes a heavy emotional toll in her. i know that there are a lot of artists who say ''i really put myself into my music'' but this is on a whole other level, she's is basically reliving her pain through her music in order to heal and not a lot of people have the balls to do that

@@diegomo1413 As a matter of fact, in an interview I she said she just screams, though she knows she probably shouldn't.
@LordEptar2 жыл бұрын
Definitely not proper technique- all of it is coming directly from her putting strain on her vocal cords instead of her false cords. It's extremely dangerous if overdone, as it can cause edema and polyps on the vocal folds. I'm hoping she either learns a proper technique or knows her limits. All of that being said, as harmful as it can be, when you have a song as emotional and raw as this, technique really goes out the window and passion takes over, I'd assume.
