I simply know for sure that Urdu speaking Delhi Lucknow agra patna Hyderabad Deccan Bhopal gawaliar benglor Calcutta Mombai and non other than Karachi are distinctly different in vibrancy agility actions accent colors and social life in homes and streets in the entire subcontinent it doesn't mean we condemn others in this subcontinent! No not at all! All are also of worth value in their concerned places! But Urdu speaking society is Urdu speaking society! With definitely respect for others!

Congress rightly did not interfere in promotion, or demotion, of Urdu or for that matter any other language. It is not the job of a government to promote or demote a language. That is best left to the society. And indeed, 2 nation theory resulted in the death knell of Urdu in India. In united India Urdu would have been a spoken language, as was in the initial years of post independence India, and that would have kept the language alive. If people don't speak a language it will die a natural death just like many languages have come and gone in the past.

The other day I was watching a documentary on Mazar e Ghalib and was shocked to see his poetry wrongly written on the walls. Either it was script or or the Shayer itself. How can people be so insensitive about this. The only reason I can think of is that hardly any people left there who can read Urdu text. Javed sahab plz go there and take along Gulzar sahab for correction. By the way I am a Punjabi who lives in lahore but can read Urdu text. So the moral of the story is that we as Pakistani have are the true custodians of all Urdu poets of India. How’s that😂
