It’s not a bad habit if you can do the tech, but and this is a big but if you are constantly pulling bomb then you become too predictable

Great video, also damn that link was cool, I mean those were some of the finest edgeguards I've seen, all the more impressive considering he was tilted by his opponent. Maybe LxZ could put some of his games so we could get more real matches to draw inspiration from.

These are so helpful! This is the second match/set analysis I've watched in a while and I really feel like I gain more insight through these. Picking up on and adapting to opponents' habits is something I'd say is struggle with but watching this and having that specifically reinforced is very helpful. Also this is nice since I'm considering picking up link

Another amazing video. You guys watching dont acc know how much this will benefit you. On top of that LxZ is telling you what you need to know and the main points. But watch it a couple times after this and try finding some of the players habits and tricks yourself. What I always find helpful is to watch LxZ's video twice, then just think about it, then watch it again, then try to apply it in game (and learn it in training mode if needed)

Great tips that a lot of us can use! Between my opponent's stock, I usually hit my bomb with an up air cause it sends it far straight up & off screen it can distract or confuse them while I try to be evasive in that area without going off stage if I can. Ledge traps are hard since Link is slow & most options feel like a hard commitment knowing you'll probably get punished when you miss. Keeping that in mind, the bomb on stage can help cover normal get up especially when it's bouncing & just detonate if they drop shield or hang too long. Nair covers rolls, fair or uair cover jumps. Or just catch their landing. That's my two cents, hope it helps too! Thanks for another great video, man!

This was awesome. If nothing else sticks I will now forever blow myself up against Luigi. I dont know why my noob ass never thought about that. Tbh I'm a pretty slow reader so I had to pause a lot, but I none the less have learned a bunch from this video. From this Links ledge traps down to preffered positioning in certain conditions. This was awesome and if I had wifi I would have loved the opportunity to take some lessons. Keep up the great content. I'm looking forward to what I can learn next!

This was wonderful for me. This Link is better than mine, but he makes a lot of the mistakes I do. I mean, to be fair, if a "better person" makes mistakes, it's not unreasonable that the "lesser one" could make those same mistakes. I'm pretty sure that patience is a thing I don't have though, so learning how to actually use it is going to be rough. And yeah, bomb spam is a personal limitation on my end too.

The bomb play is never really what got him hit, it was just not knowing what to do against invincibility or staying in the middle of the stage. Just pull the bomb and go to ledge, or against slower characters you can fake them out going one way and go the other way. The bomb is helpful because you can blow yourself up away from their attacks if you get too cornered. Though I find it best to basically just hang on ledge most of the time and learn how to get out of the corner. One good mix-up is double jump up smash throw the bomb near the ledge and go to it. The bomb likely will still be bouncing by the time they aren't invincible and it will provide a bit of pressure for you to get back up. Or they will try to grab it instead of pressuring you which also gives you extra time. Remember when you have a lead play patiently you're in no rush to approach them.

I actually really don’t think it’s bad to pull bomb at zero, I think this player just didn’t effectively use it as a wall-out tool in these few situations here. A few things he could try, rather than outright stopping: Pull bomb, and then if you are close to ledge, jump back, throw the bomb and fast fall and grab ledge. Usually it will bounce off and if they ignore it, you can use it as cover if you’re decent at getting off ledge, mix it up of course. If they throw it, you can also try to drop fair from ledge if you’re feeling aggressive to catch it at the same time. You can also hold the bomb on ledge and then use it to cover your get up, drop f throw, ledge jump d throw, you can get creative with it. If you really want to jump out of the corner, jump and throw the bomb down to cover yourself as you go over them. You can also land with nair/ double jump nair as the invincibility has usually worn off by now. Or just take center stage. As always, this is a mixup. Not saying you should always pull bomb at zero, in some matchups it’s just not useful, but like most things in this game, it has its uses. Also unrelated but wave bounce back boomerang is also great as a whiff punish, like at 9:42!
