Ah Basco... how fitting that Gokaiger is getting a 10 Years After movie. I'm hyped. Speaking of which, Basco was actually going to be in Super Megaforce. They were even going to bring his actor and yes, his actor Kei Hosogai can speak fluent English. He lived in the US for a time but for whatever reason, it didn't happen. It's a shame because Basco was actually a great villain for the Gokaigers. And it's more personal for Marvelous since well, they both worked for AkaRed for a time.

Interesting timing considering we’re about to get “Gokaiger 10 years after”

Basco is, without exaggeration one of my favorite villains of all time. He's competent, he's ruthless, he's a GREAT foil to Marvelous, and everything just gets so personal when he's involved. It's to the point where his final battle with Marvelous makes the actual end of the series feel anticlimactic

Few note 1.That Thumbnail is badass props to Viga 2. Klu Kluax Kasper is hilarious 3. *storyline* Unexpected but I'll roll with it.

What a coincidence... the actor for Basco is making his debut as a treasure hunter in the upcoming Ultraman episode.

7:28 Close, it's actually Space Sheriff. No really. Gokaiger has a crossover movie with Space Sheriff Gavan (first Metal Hero series (what VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs are adapted from)) and there's some Marvelous flashbacks of him getting saved by Gavan as a kid. Additional fun fact: The design for Robocop was inspired by Gavan.

When this was adapted into Megaforce, the pirates theme could have worked by applying a story concept never used in a Power Rangers series, the earth has been conquered by the villains and so a team of Rangers rise up against them and so are pretty much rebels. Would even tie in to the anniversary episode by having the spirits of past Rangers, who make cameos throughout to serve as mentors, join them in the final battle. But then again as you said, it would mean the creators of megaforce being creative.

I’m wondering if this was intentional seeing as toei just announced a 10 year return movie for gokieger.

Just wait until you see his monster form, he gets a least 20 extra style points in that form.

I heard about some fan version of how to take this Gokaiger storyline and adapt it into Super Megaforce - make Vrak into Basco. They could have said that Basco's monster form is just a new form for Vrak, among his other forms. This way, Vrak could have continued to be a part of the Super Megaforce storyline instead of just a pointless two-parter shoved in at the end of the series. They could also say that Vrak used Robo Knight's power to hack into the Morphin' Grid and steal the various sixth ranger keys. Granted, like you said, this would mean that the team behind Megaforce would need to be creative, and that seemed to be outlawed on that show.

Episode 17 is when the silver gokaiger appears.

Another thing I love about Basco to Jolokia is that his actor Kei Hosagi is fluent in English making him one of the sentai actors I want to meet along with Ryota Ozawa

Oh dang nice work with the title card Viga! Hard to believe Gokaiger was a decade ago. Still remember keeping up with this show and its developments and trying (and failing) to collect the Ranger Keys. Basco was definitely one of the best parts of the show as a rival to Marvelous and using the 6th/Extra keys as grunts. Shame the character wasn’t given an adaptation chance in Soopah Mehguhfarce. Oh wait considering what a crapfest that show was, maybe that was for the best.

I do hope you’ll get to the sixth ranger, he’s great.

On the topic of Megaforce, Basco's actor (who speaks english fluently) actually said he would've liked to play the PR version of Basco in Super Megaforce had they asked.

Here’s the thing... basco is my most hated villain in Sentai, and well, there’s a reason Sally wasn’t in power rangers. Her death.... yesh.

Basco’s actor is pretty fluent in English…… technically meaning we could’ve had him as an antagonist for Megaforce and Super Megaforce.

For the Megaforce adaptation, considering he came back anyway, I think the they should have had the footage from Vrak is back be the Megaforce finale, then have Vrak's return in Super Megaforce be an adaptation of the Basco stuff with him acting as a third party to the Empire and the Rangers. Considering what we see of Basco later and the fact that Vrak changed forms all the time in Megaforce it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to make Vrak the Basco character of Super Megaforce. But that would involve effort and SM was not about that.

Honestly, I hope someone patroned Linkara To review the later episodes. Because oh boy... Basco definitely gets a lot better... and near the finale, Basco truly shows he’s beyond despicable.

"Ultimate Power" in Gokaiger refers to the special power each set of Ranger Keys hold. Like you saw in the first few episodes you watched, usually it unlocks a mech upgrade but it can also occasionally do other stuff (for example, when they eventually get the Bazooka weapon it's built off the ultimate powers of a few Sentai that used this kind of finisher). Ultimate Powers are usually unlocked after the Gokaiger met members of that Sentai or do some task that is related to it, as they have to earn the approval from the powers themselves (the ranger keys glow when they unlock it the first time).

Oh wow, more Storyline stuff again so soon. I'm so glad and considering how short the review was maybe when you get to the last issue of Ultimate Power if it's too short you can have a Storyline segment to pad the length. Through, I am mad Destrogalga lost, I was looking forward to a Megazord fight against him using Neutro. Although, why is the music so ominous at the end? I mean sure this Sphinx Yonder is now a major contender in the contest after this big win, but I'm pretty sure the Bandit and Palo are still bigger threats. Plus, if you get lucky and you get to pick the contest then you could challenge her to a video game, board game, or a game of Yu-Gi-Oh then you'd have a big advantage. Come to think of it, in your first two battle in the Contest it was your opponents who picked the challenge, so I think in your match in the Quarter Finals you'd finally get to pick the challenge, and hopefully when you do you'll compete in the same room as the person because I miss seeing people in the same room as each other. I would love to see an appearance by Snowflame in your new home or Erin.

Looking back at it now. You're right about Basco being ok in this episode. He really didn't start becoming a formidable force against the Gokaigers until he started fighting them himself.

Between all the Star Wars references in this, every time you say, 'Sixth Ranger Keys,' I keep hearing 'SITH Ranger Keys.' Now I'm just imagining Count Dukko, General Grievous, Palpatine, Dark Vader, and Kylo fighting Power Rangers in sentai fights.

(9:01-9:10) and yet the fans were able to make some thing with that you can search up a couple of videos where it’s a fan made version of Vrak is back in which he uses the keys somehow and bring the sixth Ranger keys to life and another video they just made Vrak Basco as in it just being another alternate form of him pretty creative in my opinion and I could see it working
