I loved this the first time I watched it. Chester had such an amazing and underrated voice.

I've seen Adele live. There are few singers who I would ever want to cover her songs. Chester does this song and her sound justice while adding his own style to the performance. We all lost such a great talent when he left us far to early.

I just rewatched this reaction, it had been a while, and I adore this performance. Chester is rightly admired for singing beautifully, screaming incredibly, and having an amazing emotional expression in his voice. Another thing I'd hope gets added more to that list is an admiration for how adaptable he was as a singer, which he shows here. There are a bunch of cover performances that he did (of varying recording quality sadly) to be found on KZfaq, and watching some of them really shows his adaptability.

I've heard a slightly longer version of this where Chester Bennington starts this a capella but clearly too high for him to sustain. Mike Shinoda stopped him and gave him the correct starting note for his range. As spectacular as Bennington's voice was, I think Shinoda was the glue holding the band together.

I don't know if this video would do good but for anyone interested in how adele would sound on a track with linkin park someone made this one mashup (it's not just a mashup though, he changed the key of the song, changed tempo and added one extra line before the chorus). Adele had a great voice when she doesn't push it (Skyfall) but this song is a bit outside of her vocal reach and it really shows compared to this. Singing in his range Chester crushes this I think that's why it seems like there's some flare because his voice holds out.
