Chester is alive everytime I find myself in a situation he foresaw and/or described when I was a kid and I started listening to LP, he was a model, and still is to this day. I have a lot of mental health issues, he kept me afloat and even if I cry just hearing his voice today, I still take his words very seriously.

I’m 18 years old rn. I watched this video as a kid at 7 and 8 years old. I saw as that kid grew up to be part of the military. It inspired me as a kid to do the same one day. And here I am now, about 2 weeks out from boot camp for the Marine Corps. It’s a dream of mine since I was a kid to do something so great. I won’t let my younger self down

He's a Sgt. now, and I couldn't be more proud of him for following his dream. We sat together in those bleachers and watched his brother's graduation 13 years ago. That's when he decided the Corps is where he belongs. Just know that your momma feels about you the way I feel about him. Congratulations!

I joined the Army to be a firefighter, and right out of basic I remember watching a video about military firefighting school. This song was used in the video. Nearly everyday when I would wake up at 0345, I would listen to this to prepare me for the day. It gave me motivation at a weird time in my life, especially since I saw so many people around me fail. My thanks goes out to Linkin Park for that!

Linkin Park, when this came out I was homeless, in and out of jail, and unhealthy. Now I have a house, a good job, and a husband. This song and “Clover Cage - The Lone Dancer” are the two songs that helped with my depression. I just want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together. I love you ❤

This honestly just reminds me of when officers came to my home to let me know my father had died.... I wasnt home.. but Ive been told they came and didnt recieve an answer.. My mom died 6 months before he did.. So Im honestly kinda glad I didnt see those officers.. Too many questions.. too many unanswered things.. Its rough. Whether it be a family member in service or whether it be just police officers coming to let you know the unfortunate news..

Found our from my father that one of my great grandfather's cousins who he enlisted with in ww2 died in that war. I feel this small speck of sadness. Ofc i never knew him but its a horrible way to go and this song definitely reminds me of him. I knew my great grandfather and he reacued a platoon from a sinking ship on fire but couldn't save our cousin. I just think that i should have been told this sooner.

I will listen to LP as long as I live. Chester has got me through my rough patches dealing with depression. My mum committed suicide when I was 10 yrs old. I cant come to terms to accept it till this day ( I m 41) thank u Chester for always being there and still are to this day. Love you so much my friend u ll live forever in my heart ❤️

As an addiction counselor and a recovered person, I not only see this every day but have been there myself many times. I love this song. It makes my eyes water every time I hear it thinking of all the people I have met, both personally and professionally, who were close to the edge. Beautiful song!

What's sad is this is a job someone gets CHOSEN for. To go to families and let them know their loved one has died in combat overseas. Even worse is they are blamed for it. They get slapped, punched, kicked, cried upon. What you also have to notice is the way all military is a family. Those men that came over were all his uncles. A good friend of mine died beside me. Yesterday was his daughters 15th birthday. I'm still her Uncle, I still call her every birthday. We talk about stupid things her Dad did to make us laugh. #RIPTank.
