Absolutely top notch content right there, thanks to David and OTW. For someone looking to get into the field of ethical hacking and cyber security it is massively insightful to get a hacker's perspective on the subject, what works and what doesn't, the why as well as the how to. Please give us a heads up when you are going to move onto the other books, I'll buy the others and follow along 😂

Thank you for making these videos. I've actually already discovered and know about most of the content so far in this series from my own curiosities over the years but I've never been introduced to any type of formal training or anything as my knowledge has been built on my own curiosities. Anyways, I've always wanted to do a computer security type job but didn't know anything about the industry at all nor what path to follow. Anyways, thank you both for showing me I was on the right path. I'm definitely going to enter into the industry formally.

Just done watching your episode 3 , can’t agree more, learn the basic Linux or go deep Learning Linux. Your guest is really (OTW) good. I owned some of his books (Linux basics. For hackers) and I pre ordered the 2nd edition already. Your guest really explain well and slowly. That’s makes me feel comfortable and learned /understand everything. Sometime this year I might take a bundle course (cyber..) who know I might contribute to the cause…

This is probably a stupid question, but here it goes: When attempting to impersonate a device and gain access to a network, how exactly do you access the network and evade security mechanisms such as intrusion detection systems mentioned in the video? And how do you research and understand the target network? Also, how do you know if you are hacking them and not the other way around? I was thinking about this the other day, what if they leave everything vulnerable in order to lure you in and hack your systems? Thanks in advance. 🙂
