Switched to macOS or Linux? Edit: Not all people can afford a Windows License and Windows runs REALLY slow on lower end pcs, so for more responsiveness many switch to a Linux Distro.

Does it really hurt Apple people that much to see someone who hasn't fully bought into the ecosystem? You do realise most things just work on Windows and Linux, right? Like you can pair Bluetooth devices, any USB stuff just works. Well, Windows has to install drivers real quick, and you have to make sure you have a kernel released after the device on Linux.

You gotta start somewhere tho right? I remember I tried getting into linux 3-4 times and each time I switched back to windows because of the frustration of not understanding shit. Now I absolutely love linux. Fucking with linux broadens your knowledge and is truly worth the frustration that comes with it at first. When you get into stuff like custom window managers and start to see the power of linux, you will stick with it

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. @@N95G my first distro was arch, but I learned how to use it from virtual machines, you might not have time for that so here's a few distros I recommend: Linux mint (beginner friendly, easy to use, Ubuntu based) ZorinOS(beginner friendly, runs windows programs well, but it has lots of unnecessary apps, Ubuntu) Linux lite (not bloated, lightweight, made for beginners, not many tutorials on it) Manjaro(arch based, easy GUI app installer, many desktop environment choices) EndeavorOS (arch based, intermediate level, but easy to figure out) Arch based distro use the newest version of each program you install, but they might not be stable, you can manually install older versions though. Ubuntu based distros have stable apps, but they are older. Some Ubuntu based distros are bloated.

Correction, MacOS is a UNIX-like. They're cousins of one another, but the two are different. They both do use BASH though, and MacOS used GNOME for quite a while.

He couldnt figure out how to turn down the brightness, thats why hes wearing shades. He can think approximately 5x faster than a normal person, but his sunglasses sometimes clip through his head and he has random crashes (seizures) with no warning.
