Күн бұрынThe very basics for learning LinuxCNC. I've completed a VMC project with LinuxCNC complete with 20 position tool changer, 2 speed spindle and wireless pendant. Here's what I wish I had known coming into the project.

Maybe I am in the right place because you hit the nail on the head. I am just starting and have no idea how to get there and it seems like I am learning a foreign language. So I will continue listening.

Thank you for this! I am converting a Fadal VMC 20 to LinuxCNC, I do have programming experience but trying to find my way around Linux has been very frustrating. I have spent several days just trying to get started and it seems that so MANY basic steps are just not out there anywhere. I have learned more in a few minutes than I have in days of trying to absorb it from examples and reading. I have a 2 speed spindle and a 16 pocket tool changer, your videos are going to be a huge help. A big THANK YOU is what I leave!

Your experience of learning about LinuxCNC is exactly like mine! Easy once you've figured it out, but very difficult to actually get there.

learn lot but not understand english good, need be Finnish manual. need help cheap chinese one relay breakoutboard not show hall meter true/false my probe. i just test optocouplers have ok. but not sure manual not say need only power 5V to board whit usb connection or need optional 12-24V to board power supply, because input pin go to board line and led to 12.24V whit led to input screw terminal. pin 10,11,12,13,15 and GND have screw terminal.probe pin 15. config wisard has add pin 15 probe in, E stop pin 10 and normal all motors.

Maybe this is obvious but when you, say, want to add a jog wheel or pendant or etc. you're taking from an example, editing the pertinent section then moving it to your machine's .ini file?

I guess I need even more basic. How did you get Linuxcnc on the computer. Or even more basic. Debian?

The easiest way is to download the install package from the Linuxcnc website. There are instructions there. It would be difficult to give any sort of specific answer without more information about what you are trying to do.

i not understand how i make Z bit zero automatic code. many video but not understand how make, not has newer write code or use before linux and first time linuxcnc now, build cnc my son.

@@eriksalo5550 setting touch plate , first need button on display, then need know were folder need add file button call touch plate g-code, i has before can make button on display but if bush button come errors lot, not know were need add file what button call, were is button file location, were is g-code location how can call g-code who run touch plate code, code include g-code were position bit go and move down and touch plate and stop and move back up, and calculate position minus touch plate tighnes and thats is zero point at workpiece top zero. you need make video step-by step how add and were all code text, first write button text and were file named and location must be, then g-code name and location were need add, i have linuxcnc 2-8-4 debian linuxcnc, hall sensor show true/false if contact touchplate ,mean mechanic/elektric connection working. but this code not working. not move anywere if bush button at display.

i have my computer debian 10 whit preem somethink i not know m have many image what can install, many different computer and need select just you computer best image.
