You can apply this customize on Ubuntu 22.10, Manjaro GNOME Edition, Arch Linux with GNOME 43 as the default desktop, and Other linux distributions with GNOME 43 as the default desktop

This design is beautiful, everyone says that KDE Plasma can be beautiful customized but Gnome has the same customization flexibility.

Gnome is not intented to be customized, and so each customization drasticlly increase unstability KDE is made for customization, and customiations a only have a low penality on overall stability of the system 🙃 so ditch both and go for a twm

@@vaisakhkm783yeah that's why people say it's not customizable much, but I am using GNOME and have customised it quite a bit ( beyond making it look like Garuda/Mac/KDE) and 1 thing I can say is enabling and disabling certain drivers while updating GNOME to a new release is essential and in my experience if u have a lot graphic customisation then make sure to install nvidia drivers if u have graphics card and let it autopilot

Wow! That made a gorgeous gnome desktop. This shows the superiority of FOSS over proprietary operating systems. One can customize it to the best to suit his needs.

Looks great and thanks for the background files. But I don't trust extensions to hold up. I've had bad experiences in the past. I'll make the default look better with these beautiful wallpapers!

That's absolutely right. I had a lot of extensions in the past but now I can count in one hand's fingers. Had some trouble related my VSCode one day that was crashing the whole GNOME. After some investigation, found out the culprit was some random extension I had installed and wasn't using much. Kept only the more trustworthy of all and uninstalled the rest.

Not all extensions are bad. Give them a go once again, maybe you'll like them. However, don't install too much of them😅. I'd say just install blur my shell

Not gonna lie, I read the comment, agreed but I decided to try it out anyway with Ubuntu 22.04. Conclusion, the extensions do not hold well at all.

I FIXED THE DARK MODE PROBLEM. I deleted all the backgrounds and fonts I downloaded from this video, but I think what really fixed the problem was deleting all the Orchis files in the ".themes" folder that were installed by this tutorial. I am not sure which of these things really solved the problem because I did them all at the same time. Sorry for my English, I'm from Brazil and I used a Translator to make this text.

@@leandroleonellg a instalação deu certo mano, fiquei com o problema do dark mode que não ativava e no menu dos aplicativos ficava um quadrado no fundo, acho que por causa do "just perfection". Mas depois eu desfiz tudo e apaguei as pastas Orchis da .themes e voltou ao normal

@@jacksonsantos7 Se não me engano é a Just Perfection que tem uma opção de mudar o lugar do relógio e pode causar alguns problemas, principalmente se usar a dash to panel junto. Tente tirar a Just Perfection para ver se resolve

@@TheKing-sx2ii eu descobrir é a extensão Aylur's Widgets, depois que desativa ela o Widgets de Relógio e Data desaparece da área de trabalho do lado direito inferior da tela. Obrigado pelas dicas!!

You don´t need to hop. You can use Gnome 43 on any distro.

Beautiful and working fine. I just tweaked some of the extension to match my need. My only issue is when the system lock after not being used, gdm has some graphic issue...

Try disabling regular ubuntu dock if you're using dock to dash.

todo perfecto pero hay un problema con el tema de firefox , y es que si tienes muchas pestanas abiertas y tambien tienes extensiones estas chocan y las pestanas flotan dando un aspecto feo ademas y el problema principal del tema de firefox es que el simbolo + para agregar una nueva pestana esta bloqueada o simplemente no funciona

The shell looks great but whats the point of putting the same thing in three different places like the media pkayer is in media section, control panel and in the calendar widget. It's annoying...

I love this costumization! Unfortunately, Widgets extension let my shell crash continously on lock screen. I will keep theme and icons, but have to get rid of all the rest. Thanks anyway!

Работает очень плохо, на заблокированном экране появляются черные квадраты. При разблокировке иногда система крашиться и все расширения gnome слетают.

It works on Pop!_OS 22.04 with GNOME 42.5 too but the font of the application grid is black on dark grey with this customization… 🥺 And the CPU goes Brrr… GNOME Shell have a part on my daily setup, and I have some more extensions running, 0.1% of my CPU usages while I have nothing else than btop in the terminal running. With your setup it takes a share of 50%. The temperature goes from 60-70°C to over 80°C. Well… I don't think this works for me. But I like your work and many thinks I will take from the video. Thx.

Hey guys im facing a small issue , I installed the Orchis Theme and the whole system changes from Light Mode to Light Mode when the sunsets BUT the only thing that doesnt change is the Nautilus file manager , also tried other themes like Graphite but no luck ( I think it changes only when i delete the files from the .themes folder. Can you help me solve this problem ? Thank you in advance!!

I installed fedora 37 last week..it was awesome and my laptop was flying. But the bluetooth was not working..i did everything but still nothing so i switched to win 10. I love linux i will distro hop again soon. Want to try Opensuse.

Hello! I'm having problems with the just perfect extension. When I disactor the option not to show the desktop on the application grille, it appears for me a black window, or sometimes a blur on the apps, it is only happening in GNOME 43, in earlier versions of GNOME works well. You know how to fix it?

Very very nice! Thanks for this! The only thing I would like to do is make it dark theme. Seems the default settings doesn't allow this and also messing with the gnome-tweaks settings for appearance doesn't change it either. Any ideas on how to get dark mode enabled with this set up?
