1/28/2023 - We visited Linville Caverns within Humpback Mountain. Nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountain, the caverns are north of Marion, NC and just south of the unincorporated town of Linville Falls, NC. The caverns are a seasonal home to bats, however, populations have recently dwindled due to various circumstances. Go check it out and see amazing mineral colors, unique formations, an underground stream with native trout, the “Bottomless Pool” and a peek into total darkness.
