@@Populous3Tutorials during his live show in Germany he explained that he made this music himself since he had a personal connection with the story since his dad died when he was young just like in the movie. but besides that your probably right XD ps. I'm not an emotional person, but knowing that the music where Mufasa is found dead by Simba comes from actual emotion makes it so much better.

The Pride Lands had been plagued with famine and drought due to Scar's reign and his Hyena army being more then what the Lands could provide so they stripped everything bare. The dead trees and bushes surrounding Pride Rock are all extremely flammable and they present the effects of Scar as king as a symbol of how Evil will destroy everything and the cycle would be broken. The weather plays a lot of symbolism in the final battle. -The stormy sky = Simba's return. -The Lightning = The truth about Mufasa's death. -The raging fire surrounding pride rock= Simba's anger, the battle and Scar's reign being consumed and burned away. The rain represents the cleansing of Scar's evil away from the Pride Lands and the beginning of Simba's reign; which restored order and balance to the Circle of Life with everything green again and all the animals had returned.

Nobody has mentioned this yet, so i'llsay it. I noticed this because i'm a Zimmer geek. If you listen at the 10:12 mark you can see the evidence and genius of Hans Zimmer. This is a modified recycled version of The Prince of Egypt - God performs miracles throughout the film! Just listen to it and think of The Prince of Egypt - and you'll see what i'm talking about
