Lionel Chesapeake & Ohio Yellowbelly Hudson Upgraded to ERR Cruise, Fan Smoke, and Super Chuffer

4 жыл бұрынOne of my most favorite locomotives Lionel ever made is the Chesapeake & Ohio Yellowbelly Hudson from 1995, modeled after the real number 490 at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum in Maryland.
This was upgraded from the original AC motor to a DC can motor by Frank Timko, as well as a fan driven smoke unit, John Will’s Super Chuffer and Chuff Generator, and LED lighting.

Nice engine hook up to passenger cars. I like the look of the engine and the paint scheme.

Very nice. Who did the upgrade? I installed ERR in my Williams Lackawanna PA. It's a older board, but runs great.

This is a cool engine. Such a unique whistle too. If I am not mistaken, this is the first TMCC engine, right? Thank you for sharing. Thumbs up.

Do you by any chance have the total cost of the upgrade? I have one of these 490's and was wondering the price to make it more modernized.

The total cost from the new motor, smoke unit, lighting, and chuff boards was about $350.
