Always a pleasure to watch your collection out for a romp on the Lake Shore's mainline! And the variety is outstanding! Hey, listening to the buzz, growl, and rattle of those Pre and Post-War engines makes me think who needs modern sound systems? The old-timers have a charm all their own! Thanks for posting!

I loved seeing your amazing collection of passenger trains, new and old time. Some great F units and beautiful steamers all in fine shape. I like the autos lined up, the easter people, and all the passenger scenes with a variety of passengers. I enjoyed the video, it was very well done.

I must say I really liked the frequent mixing and matching of pre-war and post war stuff here! Also, I think I spied a few modern items once or twice because that Rio Grande streamlined diesel looked a bit too shiny to be just well taken care of and I’m not sure if those sound effects were added by you or were actually from the model. Also that green Lionel bulldog nose diesel I think actually is a modern 2010s era set that was released due to the fact that in the 1950s Lionel had planned to do a similar thing but for unknown reasons it never got released at that point. I recall because I was looking through a electronic PDF of a Lionel catalog from a few years ago, and that item was in it, and that’s what it said.

Yes there were a few modern (by a prewar collector's standards) items mixed in. These included the Rio Grande set, Texas Special cars with postwar diesels, NYC cars with postwar diesels, Milwaukee Rd cars with postwar diesels, 1989-issue Hiawatha set. The Green Alco set included 1940's 2400-series cars with postwar Diesels having custom-painted shells. I thought the somewhat random mixing of eras best showed the vast variety that Lionel produced. I did not want it to look like an "evolution of Lionel" video. Thanks for watching and always like to hear your comments. J

Yes, Lionel made quite a variety over the period of 1915 to 1969, and my video is far from comprehensive, just my favorites......which I am afraid are out of control!

Super enjoyable. Where did you find that British telephone kiosk? A few other notes, loved the '57 Ford convertible, and although Lionel didn't intend it to be, but you can't beat the sound system of the early F3.

Thanks for watching. After 50+ years of collecting, hard to remember where any one item came from, but guessing the British phone booth came with a group or lead figures. The 57 "drop-top" is a Hallmark ornament. Yes, the 2333 diesels have a pleasing and unique growl.

Thanks for watching. The layout fills the room, so I can't get back far enough with the camera to get the whole thing in. If you look at some of my other videos, such as the construction and re-construction ones, they show larger views. Classic Toy Trains magazine has an article on the layout (since 2021) hopefully they will publish it some day.
