Beautiful Challengers!! I have to say I personally prefer the greyhound paint scheme. Either way, they are two great and fun locomotives to run.

I love the Lionmaster line! I just acquired two Lionmaster Lionchief Plus 2.0 Cab Forwards for pretty good deals. Both in the fantasy paint schemes. Now I’m on the hunt for the Lionchief Plus 2.0 Big Boy. I don’t use TMCC or Legacy yet so I gotta just get the Bluetooth models to run them.

Two awesome locomotives!! You got the best of both worlds. I'm a big fan of the Greyhounds, and that whistle is epic! Also love the green of the Rio Grande, and the improved features are great. I didn't know LionMaster engines had whistle steam. Kudos to Lionel! - Ryan

The later LionMaster Legacy models for the Challenger and T-1 Duplex had whistle steam. Not sure about others. Really miss this line!!

Sounds awesome! I don’t see many O-Gauge layouts outdoors! My dad has G-Scale in the back yard and it’s pretty resilient for Nebraska’s 4 seasons

@@Dadified86 It can be done (O-gauge outdoors.) Ron Karlsson has done it. (He’s on KZfaq) and others have too! Just use a certain kind of track, have a way to get the trains in when you’re done.

Great video and reviews of the engines. Thanks for that history lesson, great to learn something new about the models we run. You know me, I love me some lionmaster, they really are great for smaller layout people who want big steam (or diesel).

I’m a little envious of your Challenger! Greyhound, Whistle Steam, AND I could visit the real 3977 about 3.5 hours down the road! Great engine on your great layout!
