Did you see Michael’s face for the first few seconds, before he realized Lionel Richie wasn’t going to make fun of him, and was being nice. Then he smiled, his famous smile. Lionel is such a kind hearted person and I have never known him to cut for a laugh. He is polite and kind and such a marvelous musical artist.

He's such a kind and fatherly figure on American Idol. It's wild that he treats these unknown kids as equals. He seems totally sincere about it. He's like "you're just as talented as I am, or more, kid. The only difference between you and me is that I got a break, got lucky, got seen. So let's see what we can do for YOU."

You're right. Jackson is just a nervous teenage kid. Then, when Ritchie so ineptly shows off the moonwalk, Jackson looks like a high school kid who has just invented a new skateboard trick or something. He looks like HE's proud of this skateboard trick, but surprised that this OLD guy likes it -- AND...he's delighted that the old guy "can't DO it" (which is a gift that Ritchie gave to Jackson up there). Ritchie is a class act all around. We need people like Lionel Ritchie in government -- or INVOLVED in government. As Secretary of Education or something.

One of the best things Katy ever did was host SNL and instead of also being the musical guest, the musical guest was Robyn, who was her opening act at the time ( this was back in 2013 or so). I enjoyed her performance so much that I went out and bought her CD. "Call Your Girlfriend" was my favorite track, and I listened to it everyday.

I went to see Lionel Ritchie in 1984. He was great & hilarious at the same time!! 😂😂 He was always referring back to Michael Jackson through the show and pretending the moonwalk and got a ton of laughs!! Then at the end he did a perfect moonwalk and the crowd was twice as loud!! 😂😂. I’m almost 60 now! Still would go see him.

If they were close like before, Katy would definitely know about Rihanna's pregnancy. They are not enemies of course, but not friends either.

I didn’t know Katy was 38 like me. Well I’m only 38 until the 26th 🥴😖 life moved so quickly. And Lionel was 35 in 1984 when I was born and looks so amazing at 73!!!! Whoa black don’t crack!
