In todays video I take a short trip to Concord, NC for the annual #lionel #trains Warehouse Sale. This year the sale took place at their retail store at the Concord Mills Mall and featured a decent amount of locomotives, rolling stock and accessories.

What!!! I never knew there was a Lionel store. I model N Scale now but my first train was a Lionel train as a Xmas gift in 1989. I wish that store was near me . Wow. I think I might have switched back to O gauge. Lol

Yeah it’s pretty cool to be able to get things directly from Lionel. Lol I’m sure modeling in N Scale is far more affordable. 😉

Hate I missed it. I went to the last pre Covid warehouse sale at the warehouse. Deff not as much at this one as they had there. But atleast they are still doing it.

Yeah it really hasn’t been the same the last two years. The retail store always has a mini sale going on year round on the front table. My guess is we aren’t going to be seeing a full blown warehouse sale like the ones pre covid again.

In the morning of the sale there was a legacy refurbished NYC hudson for $800. Was tempting.

Yeah, I was there within the first hour on Friday and they had lots of great refurbs out there. :)

Awesome grabs! We could have been bumping elbows without even knowing it. I hope next year they move it back up the road to the warehouse though. That way we can have a larger selection to choose from.

I heard you say you’re originally from New York and it appears you’re now living in North Carolina. I too went to the Concord for the warehouse sale and picked up a couple of engines and box cars. Ironically I am originally from New Jersey (I was in the Air Force) and retired here in North Carolina.

We should get together in person sometime if you live close to the Lionel store. We could make a combination video to promote the hobby and our channels. One of the most rewarding parts of this hobby is the community. I'm glad you are promoting the store. The people there are very special and treat you like family.

@@CWFTrains That would be nice but the hobby store that sells trains is about an hour and a half from me and ive saw they sell o gauge lionel stuff just not like a actual lionel store

When do they have this sale? I toured the Lionel factory in Michigan back in 2007 . After the tour there was a small shop full of items like this. Samples, slightly flawed items, etc. Was a great bargain find. I would consider driving down to this store in North Carolina if I knew when items like this went on sale?

They usually do this in the fall around the end of October or Start of November. The best way to know is to follow them on FB. They usually make an announcement as to when.

When it comes to the Main Street Buildings they are usually fictional. However a version of the Bar & Grill exists inside the Dunkin' Donuts Center as a place fans can get food and drinks.

The sale was last weekend. Lionel for whatever reason does a sub par job when it comes to promoting the sale and their social channels in general. The sale is usually at the end of September or mid October. The only things on sale are the in the areas of the store I covered in the video.
