When I was a young father and my 1st child was beginning walking, we visited my brothers house while my wife went on retreat. One day I took my son (in stroller with teddy) to the local park. Along the way, there was some satanic graffiti and the words,” just you try and stop is” or “you can’t stop us”. Once there, the kids play equipment was absolutely covered in this graffiti. There were some youths kicking a ball, seemingly with aggressive intent directly at us several times. I trapped the ball but returned it, asking they keep it away from the kids play area, which they did. Well, I didn’t want to put my son on the satanically graffitied play equipment just like that but also knew that in God, we are stronger and when resisted, the Devil will flee. So, I lifted him into my arms and walked around the equipment 3 time, praying in the spirit and claiming the park for the community and under Gods protection. Only after this did we play there together, graffiti and all. When we got back to the house, teddy was missing and going back, I couldn’t find it. Later back in our own home, we found that as soon as we picked up study material, our son would wake disturbed and we would have to go settle him. This would occur several times and grew worse and worse. Eventually we found him crawling around on all fours on the bed in a very disturbed incoherent state. I laid hands on him and prayed in the Spirit. He immediately fell sound asleep. My wife took him into our bed for the night but I slept in his bed after casting out whatever evil was there and claiming Gods protection over his room as kingdom territory. I felt it important that I sleep there to seal that protection as head of the household, don’t know of any specific biblical justification, it just seemed the right way at the time. After this, there still were some disturbances but nothing like before and we would pray each time. Talking this through with my wife, we discovered we had a common impression of an oppressive shadowy presence in our bedroom coming from the corner above a book case and hovering just over us at night while in bed. OK yeh night shadows the stuff of kids imagination….. We saw other things too. Well we decided to pray against this too. One time, it was like I woke in bed but felt myself to be among strong presences I heard a voice say “who will stand against him”. So I said “will” and immediately, I felt one of the presences turn on me and the most fierce, hate filled animalistic roar went through my entire body (you have no idea!) My body was locked in paralysis, I struggled and struggled to call out. It took all my strength and will to eventually squeak out a rather weak and pathetic “Begone” and it went. That was it, it was just gone and I had my body back and everything was calm and normal. That was the end of the shadowy looming oppressive presence. We immediately discovered we could actually see the wall above the bookcase at night now by the street lighting outside. Same light same curtaining but we could physically see what we could not before. Still, there was the odd testing incidents, you know a spirit cast out will return to see if the house is empty……. One time I woke to see a well defined silhouette figure in the doorway, I said "begone" and it just broke up and dissipated away. While similar things continued for a bit, the oppression was broken and it abated over time. Also, discovered we had bought a house in which family violence and divorce had occurred. Now some folk don’t believe in territorial spirits but, could there possibly be a link? My son later told me that his nightmares had been of a bear (he has exceptionally early memories), could this be linked to the missing teddy? I don’t claim to have all these answers but I swear you should not ignore impressions of spiritual things and I attest the Jesus advice is true, resist the Devil and he will flee from you. Now I am in my 60s, my advice to young dads is don't ignore such impressions and don't dismiss those of your wife, even if you don't share them. Always take these things seriously and in prayer to The Father and live from The Spirit. You are the spiritual authority and gatekeeper of the household. It is your job and your responsibility to stand with Him in the gap for their protection.

Spiritual warfare is a normal New Testament Christian posture, i'm getting used to it. Thanks for your work, keep it up, and God bless you and your families.

So true was preaching on the train earlier and this woman was smiling but weirdly to this baby and clearly a demon was manifesting in her and the baby was crying. Spiritually this ‘nice’ woman is tormenting the baby. She then helps carry the baby’s pram up the stairs with her friend. To appear good she does this. But the Lord knows. The Lord knows the evil intentions of the enemy. When we have deliverance from demons we become a lot more aware of the enemy’s tactics and just how deep their plans go.
