Thanks for vid. I'm one of the few players I know that really enjoys raids and wars. I like to strategize against who I'm up against. I see the war as a collection of raids using your alliance to coordinate a strategy. I have no interest in being on a highly competitive alliance, but I still like to win. It's tough when you have a teammate with a 3300TP log on and see all the enemies in his range dead. With 20 hours left in the war they have plenty of time to wait until an enemy revives, or they could get 50+ points doing cleanup, but they are so eager to fight a full team that they go against a 4000TP+ enemy. They might score 15-20 points, but not much more. Then they blow through their next 2 flags doing the same thing, only now they're using backup teams, and their scores are 5 and 0. This is what just happened in last war. We were up against a tough team, but we got our ass beat bad. Due to our alliance being a leisurely group, with people that have lives outside the game, our team leaders are good at giving guidance, but are not hard with rules. So if you see yourself in my description, try to attack in your strength zone. Unless you are in the last hrs of your war, do not just use your war flags on anything just to fight. You will get more points waiting or doing clean up. This is not a titan, you don't have to get your attacks in as fast as possible. Thanks

I mostly do a 2-2-1 in raid n war i think it's a comfortable way to maybe go into a 3-2 then a 4-1 or mono As your learning the board to your advantage. Plus may have better hero's in the long to make the different set up easier take out the blue put in the extra red for a 3-2 etc...

Thanks for the vids, mono does seem to work best for me since i dont have any high level troops, or for that matter enough high level heros :p i think for weaker players mono works great

Hey Nittany, what do you consider a light or heavy bench? I'm sitting at 38 maxed 5* currently... after 2 years and 4 months... sigh... one of the largest issues I had noticed while being in higher level alliance was the Ego factor. I've found that when a hole alliance meshes well and everyone is willing to do a cleanup they do better.. I had also noticed that when one or two individuals are asking for benches and then telling individuals what and who to hit that this also staggers an alliance progression in War.. not to mention that higher alliances have been known to decide what all members will run. 4/1, 3/2, 2/2/1... mono so on. I have seen that this really hinders war potential... but all this is just things I've observed. You make awesome videos. Thank you. I do share these in Line with smaller alliances so that way they have a chance to see what upper level alliances are doing and how they are looking at things. Always great to get several perspectives in game... because there isn't one cookie cutter way to get through this triathlon of a game. 😎😎😎

Jeremy Worley thanks for the kind words! I feel very fortunate to lead a family of alliances that is free of drama. In Xtreme Panda we definitely work together creating teams, making hits, and helping with tile play progression, but we preserve autonomy as much as possible. I like to maintain a simple and clear set of few rules so people can still have fun playing their way. Cyom seems to be valid only when everyone has 6 very strong teams... Otherwise people with some weaker teams are much better to clean up weakened targets.

Thanks a lot for all your videos it’s really helping, amazing job :) Quick question: what would you suggest to beat this sort if line up: Alberich Kageburo Guinevere Seshat Frida? Took me 2 shots for that raid revenge and i had to use my blue mono on my 2nd attempt (Frida Grimm Kiril Alice Richard), but in a war i’d rather go for your 3-2 or 4-1 strategy (i don’t have too many strong heroes yet anyways)

sovanzip if your heroes are significantly weaker than theirs, then 4-1 or mono is good. It’s hard for me to tell you what team to build without knowing your roster but you’ve got the right idea with the specials of the heroes you chose.

NittanyLionRoar - Xtreme Panda Thanks for the (very quick) answer :) So there’s no ideal combination of colors to beat these sorts of line ups? (Like yellow tank flanked with 2 purples or red tank with 2 greens, etc) Say if i go 4-1 with 4 purples to take down a Guin tank, i might be in trouble with the 2 purple flanks (unless i get lucky ghosting in the middle gap).. Would it be better to not consider the color and just pick a strong team of random colors?

sovanzip ideally with 3-2 you go with 3 of the strong color vs the tank and 2 of the strong color against a flank. With a yellow tank and purple flanks, the 2 doesn’t matter much because they would be yellow and weak against the tank. So basically, if my heroes are generally as strong as theirs I go with 3 purple and 2 of any non-yellow where the specials synergize well with the purple heroes.

With a mono team or a 4-1 would it make it better to have link heroes? I've heard that before but wanted to know what your thoughts and

I don't agree with clean your own mess. Why use a second flag for a few pts, when u can use that flag to attack a fresh team and earn more pts? You should let your low level players to use Their flag on your clean up.

I agree. But it actually can work better when it's difficult to plan attack waves (as is the case in my alliance) or if you can't rely on "weaker" player to finish your work. In the latter case, I try to leave hints/instructions and hope for the best, but one should also give lower level players the opportunity to learn and improve.
