it is a missed penalty because it happend every play. They dont call it all the time because you could call false start and holding on almost every play. But yesterday the not called false starts and holdings were insane. As a ref you need to call to show the player "He we have an eye on you" @@kman9884

Yeah I've actually never seen someone false start that much. I know people always say that after the game, but it felt like it was a glitch in Madden, he'd be in his stance before Mahommes had the ball.

I keep telling everyone that. Like our offense did not play well and they know that. I expect them to take it out on the Seahawks next week. And the defense to play similar as this week. If we win next week that is 2 wins vs playoff teams. The sky is the limit for this team

Bad job by the refs. #74 held Hutchinson about 10 times in the first half, was able to blatantly false start the entire game, and lined up illegally every snap.

The game would have been a blowout had the Refs not ignored the illegal formation, fale starts, and holding of KC's RT. They wouldn't have scored a single point! I'm thrilled that we beat the Refs and Chiefs at Arrowhead.

To be fair though you also gotta understand without the last two flags against the line on the chiefs lions would have lost to a field goal because they lost 15 yards due to penalties that drive so if they missed calls or not regardless they made the calls that actually mattered more then any you may have wanted enjoy the win and also I'm not a Chiefs fan just making that clear lol

The thing that really gives me hope as a Lions fan, and what should DEFINITELY have the rest of the league on red alert, was that the comeback started with back-to-back clutch plays by first-year rookie starters. The Lions are HUNGRY, and they're DEEP.

They've never had a good ORGANIZATION before. A great owner, a great GM, a culture put in place that wasn't about losing. That's the key. Anybody can grab a few great players when constantly picking at the top of the draft.

I have to hand it to Detroit, they didn't fold in that stadium. It came down to who minimized mistakes, and save for a couple of false starts and a huge DPI down the field, the Lions accomplished what KC could not: keeping penalties down. So many brick hands out there last night too - McKinnon, Toney, Rice, and more. Patrick Mahomes can hit anyone in the hands, and they still can't haul in the pass for a short gain. That's what I thought the gloves were for. I can't wait to see footage of the locker room after this game was over. Dan Campbell must've been so fired up! He's a great coach for that team. They really deserved the win last night.

What I appreciate about the Lions is that they took their time to build their team backup, and have a chance to be seriously competitive for a long time. I can appreciate getting a star or two via trade or free agency …. But, too many organizations commit to one season of fame and sacrifice their team. As a fan, of any team .. I prefer to see it done for the long term. Honestly the Chiefs played like they were shook and Detroit was ice cold. Congrats to them, the city deserves it.

Instead of the drops why don't you talk about the 3 picks Mahomes should have had and the many missed throws to Skyy Moore. I've followed and rooted for the Lions for more than 50 years. Wanna know the biggest difference between these guys and the other iterations? These guys are too young to know they are supposed to suck when they put on the Honolulu Blue and Coach Campbell is smart enough not to tell em. Yeah, he mentioned the history in his opening presser because it was the elephant in the room but since then it has been full steam ahead. The past is dead, the future is his focus. The Dude Abides, and so does his team. Look out NFL, you haven't seen what these guys are capable of, not yet. They're young, hungry, and they aren't going away. Great win fellas! Couldn't be prouder.

No. It was just Toney. The guy dropped many easy passes in the clutch. The Chiefs could’ve scored one more touchdown if he can catch a pass.

Detroits Marvin jones had 3 dropped passes and a fumble at KC’s 10-15 yard line that no one’s talking about. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@russdadda I couldn't find any stats for Detroits drops, but kc had 5, for 13.5% of every pass. 😯😯. I'm not a fan of either team, but you can't win a football game like that!!

Kyle Brandt were that hat I want to Jame to wear her hat to pick Commanders' QB Sam Howell has a classy performance in Week 1 Imagine how the game would have turned out if Hutch was allowed to have a fair go at Mahomes instead of Jawaan being allowed to do whatever he pleased every snap. I have to hand it to Detroit, they didn't fold in that stadium. It came down to who minimized mistakes, and save for a couple of false starts and a huge DPI down the field, the Lions accomplished what KC could not: keeping penalties down. So many brick hands out there last night too - McKinnon, Toney, Rice, and more. Patrick Mahomes can hit anyone in the hands, and they still can't haul in the pass for a short gain. That's what I thought the gloves were for. I can't wait to see footage of the locker room after this game is over. Dan Campbell must've been so fired up! He's a great coach for that team. They really deserved the win last night. Plenty of things for Detroit to clean up but that was a fun win. This roster is so young, they're only going to get better and better, I'm hyped for what is to come if they keep on this trajectory 🦁 💪🏼 I’m glad to see the Lions get the W but it’s still way too early to say Superbowl. As much as the chiefs dropped the ball. The lions D stopped the chiefs in momentum in the red zone twice. The game coulda been 28-14 a classic chiefs game. But that defense bent but didn’t break.

I'm amazed at the excuses for a loss because of missing 2 players. Lions came in and won fair and square. If you're going to argue about injuries, or hold outs, the list of teams/QB's that won without those players just prove they were better. Injuries happen every season, and hold outs too (Ex: Brady won the SB without Gronk due to injury). Give the Lions more credit for showing they came to play.

Sorry, but this game was more about KC losing the game than Detroit winning. Toney’s drops directly contributed to the Lions success. Luck is the byproduct of preparation, and Toney clearly wasn’t prepared for the game.

KC started believing their own hype that they could put any scrub WR out there and Mahomes would make them a superstar. Their low end talent at WR is going to be a problem this year.
