One of the biggest storylines surrounding the Dallas Cowboys this offseason has been the discussion around Dak Prescott and a would-be contract extension. Assuming the Cowboys are going to get this done at some point, they continue to risk allowing other teams and quarterbacks to negotiate deals and raise the price all the more. A new team and name have emerged that could do just that in the Detroit Lions and Jared Goff. RJ Ochoa discusses and breaks the whole situation down.

Rj completely wrong as usual cowboys waiting is making Dak price go down. Kirk cousins and Baker Mayfield got 45 mil the market already been set. Jared golf won't get 60 mil either 45-50 mil range

RJ, The writing is on the wall. Get Jerry a Super bowl Ring and he will make Dak the first $100M man, Choke in the playoffs again and you will be playing for someone else.. Oh and bursting your bubble a bit bud, Mike fisher already at 70K and rising. not sure your numbers compete with that.

I agree it what is happening. Dak is on a proof you can win in the playoffs year or we have nothing to loss by starting over. I think there is a percentage of the fan base that is so use to not being a winning franchise that they are scared to move on. They would rather get embarrassed in the playoffs every year than the uncerainty of a new QB

So Goff has some very important acollades that DAK doesn't have. Goff has played in a Super Bowl. Goff has played in two NFC Championship games. So the QBs are apples to oranges. I don't think Dallas has any intent to resign Dak if he wants top 5 QB money. Because come playoff times that isn't who he is. I think they would rather let him walk. Dak is going to have to produce in the playoffs are they are going to let him walk.

Goff's defense, supporting cast, and coaching had at least 75% Just as Brady, Mahomes, Flacco, Stafford, Nick Foles etc ANNNNND btw, Marino and other HOF QBs have retired without a ring or Conference appearances

Well to Goffs defense.Hes played in a Super Bowl and 2 Nfc Championship games.Dak hasnt gotten far in the playoffs

Would da 🐐 #23 MJ have won every NBA championship he did win had he not had the likes of supporting cast such as: Point guard; Paxton?...Center; Cartwright?...Scottie Pippen?...HC Phil Jackson?...and others? What kept HOFer Dan Marino from winning a SB? Was it that Dallas' defense was simply too strong for him? Was HC Don Shula not good enough? Was his receivers not good enough? I digress

Wouldn't it make sense to extend his contact now rather than later I keep reminding everyone that dak Prescott doesn't play any defense even when dak Prescott brought them back and took lead green bays offence sliced through them like a hot knife through butter but Jerry Jones plans on making America's team a bottom feeder just so he'll have first dibs on next years draft just super sad to see America's team to go backwards and Jerry Jones with it...,.

Jared Goff has just gotten a 4-year, $212 million extension, with $170 million guaranteed. Goff has won Playoff Games, and has taken 2 different teams to the NFC Championship Game, and he's been to the Super Bowl. Until Dak does what Goff has done in the post season, he shouldn't get anywhere near what Goff is getting.

Yoooo quick ???.... If Dak so good n deserve wat eva money why everybody always have to try to validate why he deserves x,y n z.... It should go without saying!!! But everybody kno da truth so his "FanBoys" always gotta come up wit reasons why he should get paid... If he is what u say he is that would happen without question... He had to have all kind of provisions put in his contract to insure he has leverage... why doesn't his play insure that???🤦🏿‍♂️🤔 I'll wait.... Completely wrong Jared golf is not going make top dollar. The floor is kirk cousins and Baker at 45 whatever golf gets that's the ceiling it actually helps them set up a contract
