I got changed my bracket to a titanium and ceramic, at first, "Free Service". Since then I have changed much on my now much former 2019 SuperligthM6LXBrompton to now 8,5 kilo, and I expect that with some more work on my mudguards and brakes, I will even come below 8 kilo!

According to Mr Sonic, no need retreading for P line. Very smooth with the ceramic bb.

Mr Liow since your darling arowana passed on,u ve taken up Brompton bikes, what is it that has cause you to choose Brompton, why not road bike or mountain bikes or even stamp collecting?

If you follow my channel, you will notice that i bought many bicycles (Year 2022 alone bought 8 bikes). Brompton is only one of them. Since 1985, i started playing with bicycle and bought BMX , mountain bike, road bike etc (in the 80s and 90s video recording not popular so no video to share) Cycling and buying different bikes is my hobby. Beside that, I use it for workout and daily transportation. Bicycle can share with my family, other hobbies such as collecting stamps is too personal and not as practical/useable than bicycle.

Your intake from KZfaq depends of the amount of viewership, take it as pocket money, one thing abt bikes, the person who definitely makes money are your bike shop owner, the constant upgrading of parts is no end bec of technology. Where as a Arowana can identify with you or a Bonzai to plant can flourish to a beauty simply by your TLC tender loving care. Thks for your time.

Can i recommend this saddle to u all? It's the MTB Koda wide. Damn light and comfortable. need to adjust seat positioning to position the ass properly then quite comfortable

those ceramic bb will not last long than stainless steel bearing bb, it will run smoother than normal bb but worn much faster. I had remove the ceramic bb after 2months riding my mini velo bike, the titanium square spindle develop little play with each pedaling stroke which annoying the riding feels. I'm fast and harsh rider style so ceramic is not good for me, after replace with shimano ultegra hollow bb 105 crankset the pedaling feel is very quiet much better and smooth after run in. After 10 months the shimano bb is still smooth and quiet no play at all. The ceramic bearing bb is only good for leisure riders, the original japan made stainless steel seal bearings are more expensive than those ceramic bearings bb inside. The japan made bearings cost alone are more than the complete set of eramic bb, it has better specification and will out last longer and smoother than those ceramic bearing used for bicycle.

The problem is that those BBs use hybrid ceramic bearings (ceramic balls with steel races). The harder ceramic balls wear out the steel races fast and then you've the issue you described. You either go with full ceramic bearings or stick with full steel bearings for uniform wear.
