I think you have a real winner there! I sourced the pieces myself and built a similar firearm as my perfect carry j-frame. It has a lot of miles riding in leather and I still really like it.

That new S&W J frame .38 is amazing, but I really wish you could have brought that out in a 6 shot offering (maybe later). Those sights are very nice.

If you want a 6 shot S&W .38 Special it'll have to be a K-frame, reviving the Model 15 snubnose or Model 19 snubnose would be an amazing next step.

I managed to find an online forum that a bunch of the guys involved in this project are on and it sounds like a couple of them have ambitions to expand the line. We'll see!

@@Ech0Sierra Not necessarily. Recent revolvers like the Taurus 856 and Kimber K6 show that you CAN fit a 6-shot .38 cylinder into a compact snub. Yes, both of those revolvers are bigger than a J-Frame, but not enough to make a difference in carrying. An 856 fits into my pocket just as well as my 642, which is something my Model 12 snub cannot accomplish.

@LipseysGuns @smith&wessonInc Exciting enough I did a super late night video on it. Jason seems to really know what was needed and why. Love XS Sights @xssightsystems ! Ultimate Carry K-frame Model 12/612 either 2.5" or 3" Next year please! That will be about 19-21 oz depending on grips yet VERY shootable. Better Ballistics for full hollowpoint expansion & pushing them DEEP like with @FederalPremiumAmmo 130+p Hydrashok Deep (I just did POI & Ballistics Vids from Model 12) or 135+p Gold Dots (& 125+p Golden Sabers will only hit a little low..would like POI set for 130/135 which you can find fmj to train with in that range). @HamreForge Grips could be contracted to make some for K-frame (assuming S&W will use the regular width k-frame not the thinner on most Model 12s) and come with a full set so right side can be either normal or Hook Grip (think old school Hip Grips) for holsterless carry around the house/bump in night/take out garbage etc.) which would make a very interesting package. I'd like to come to film vids w/ the Ultimate J-frame since I am so close (I could bring some old school Smith classics for you guys to look at & shoot) or get a T&E copy. My good friend Gun Sam Revolver has done a ton of Ballistics Testing with .32 & we both have Auto-immune Disease Disabilities that make us more likely down the line of needing the lower recoiling .32.
