A very generic, but cool sound. Thanks for sharing your process! I would be interested in seeing how you make other things like your drum sounds or string sections (cello/violin and stuff). Also, are you Dutch? I feel like I hear a slight accent

There's definitely gonna be more stuff like the things you mentioned coming up. Not Dutch but Danish ;)

Kasger Oh nice! Greetings from northern Germany! I would be especially interested in string sounds though. they've been giving me a lot of trouble recently, but I think it might be to do with my plugins (Harmor and Sylenth) which sound a bit too digital
@querijnvanbijsterveldt3624
@querijnvanbijsterveldt3624 7 жыл бұрын
use the fruity stings. They are quite good and don't sound digital at all. You can find them under Packs > Legacy > Intruments > Orchestral > Strings (this is in fl studio dont know what you are using)
@Cryptiiix
@Cryptiiix 7 жыл бұрын
I dont consider this specific sound generic because hardly any songs have this filthy bassline!
@09Ozymandias
@09Ozymandias 5 жыл бұрын
But when you're a beginner, you need to learn to make the generic sounds. Then it's your job to make new variations of them, to create your own version and do something new with it. But the classic sounds are the building blocks of making more interesting sounds.

It's basically like cooking. Everyone knows that adding salt to something makes it taste salty, right? It's kinda the same here. People who know Massive also know that adding a certain filter makes it sound a certain way.

I tried to do this in ABleton but I really can't figure out what kind of bass you use in the beginning when you draw in the notes. I can't find a similar tone or bass.. It's my first day using the massive plugin though.. I hope I will figure it out myself but would also be happy about an answer.
@inanitas
@inanitas 5 жыл бұрын
He is using the default when you load massive for the first time after adding the plugin. Don't click on "new sound" though, it will be a different one. If you happen to click there, just remove that instance of massive and add it again (or you could just save the startup default as some other preset and load that again and again when you mess up)
