Anytime I hear Mitski say "Liquid Smooth" I picture someone with smooth and beautiful skin, but easily breakable, also describing the concept of beauty. Once you feel beautiful, it's so easy for it to be immediately derailed. I absolutely love how you saw it as easily manipulated, as I had never seen it that way. Love your videos!!

9:32 it's really interesting your opinion on how the protagonist sees beauty under a more "objective" perspective, the way I saw it was more of like her not wanting to care that much about it but ending caring because it's "her season", it's what people tell her. Sorry if my English isn't great, it's not my first language

This song always makes me think of how beautiful I tend to feel in certain phases of my menstrual cycle, and how quickly that is broken in other phases.

17:25 from my point of view, the use of the word "capture" goes in the direction of men always "chasing" women, the terror of being a woman walking alone and a man trying to capture her. I also view it in the aspects of abusives relationships, all of this is very common and I also think that when mitski says do it, capture me, take my picture (objectifing herself), she's giving up and following society's sexists expectations
