Seen here are two Long Island Railroad diesel trains in Long Island City, Queens, during rush hour. In the first clip we see a Port Jefferson Branch train departing LIC station in the distance and slowly crawling over the 11th Street railroad crossing as it splits away from the lower Montauk branch.
This branch no longer sees regular passenger service and has since been leased to the New York & Atlantic (NYAR) freight railroad between Fresh Pond Yard and Jamaica.
In the second clip we have an Oyster Bay branch train slowly making its way across the Borden Avenue railroad crossing and onward to Hunterspoint Avenue station.
