She knows she’d never put together a good team again. Abandoning the program was smart.

I Believe that She should Go Out On Top. Many Coaches and Athletes Go Out To Late. She Coached The All Time Top Female Basketball Player In College and Who Is Already Making Changes In Professional Career. With a Record Like that I would be Retiring. Those things are a once in a Lifetime.

Geno Auriemma is 70, should have retired after the 2016 championship, really hasn't burnished his legacy at all in the last 8 years. Tara Vanderveer, also 70, had her legacy fixed decades ago. Best time to go is when you still have some gas in the tank. Coach Bluder is stepping down absolutely at the right time, sort of like Caitlin. Nothing left to prove, leaving the program in good hands.

Oh, yeah! You brought great joy!! Thank you so much.❤

Winning a championship would be the way to go, and not abandoning the program right as it has the chance to grow. She won the big ten 2x in 20 years before Caitlyn Clark.

Please go coach Indy Fury....Cait needs a great coach..
@Hodgyy14 күн бұрын
It’s the ‘fever’ lmao.. and no.. Caitlyn is averaging 7 turnovers a game and no coach can fix that.. unless they take it out of her hands more I suppose..

So enjoyed your excellent, creative coaching! You were a blessing for Iowa, but I know you felt blessed with the fantastic girls you coached. Congratulations on your retirement! I know you will go down as the best coach in Iowa's girl's college basketball! A team that played with integrity! Enjoy!

The amount of gratitude and admiration I have for this woman is off the charts. I’m so thankful we had her leading young woman at Iowa for so long! 💛🖤💛

Lisa Bluder is a world class person, leader, coach, recruiter, and educator. Quality is not a priority in America anymore, but Lisa only recruited quality ladies and never comprised on that principle, I am a Pennsylvania man, who has had the pleasure of working out in Iowa a few times, and the folks from Iowa and the Iowa educational institutions are a class act opposed to the absolute regression that’s occurring in our country. God bless Lisa and all the great folks from Iowa

Such a heartwarming and caring woman. Loved that she loves to see her ex players succeed in whatever they choose to do!! I can bet she’s a mother figure and friend to all those players she coached!! She will certainly be missed but knows the basketball program is in great hands with coach Jensen.💛🖤💕

Congrats on the retirement even though I believe it will be short lived because in my opinion I believe you retiring right now is because the Fever reached out to you to become the coach for Caitlyn Clark next season. I can’t wait to see you coaching in WNBA next year

After the last two years, 63 yrs old, financially secure, why not, get caught up with your family. Jan will fill in just fine and she's earned it.
