5 жыл бұрынHere are swatches and thoughts on the new Lisa Eldridge Plush True Velvet Lipsticks. I paid $99 for the collection of three, but it’s priced at £76. Price will vary depending on the exchange rate. Individually, these are £26.
I wore a mixture of Velvet Jazz and Velvet Ribbon for 8 hours yesterday before it stated to show signs of serious wear. During that time, I had dinner and drank lots of water and tea. At the 8 hour mark,I added a small touch of balm over the lipstick, and smoothed over the entire lip. It continued to wear with the balm for another additional 4 hours before I washed my face for bed.
This formulas is lightweight, ultra pigmented, and long lasting for a traditional lipstick bullet. I’m excited to continue wearing these three shades throughout the holiday season, and the new year.

You should wear red lipstick more often, it looks very retro and classic on you. Stunningly beautiful!

Thanks so much for your kind words. I live for a red lip, and for many years, it was the only color I wore. I'm trying to branch out, but it's still an eternal favorite!

Wonderfully in-depth review. I'm also a huge fan of Lisa and red lipsticks and I'm glad these are the first products she released.The shades look wonderful on you. Velvet Jazz is so vintage looking, it's right up my alley!

Noura Thanks for watching! I really love this formula. It’s so good. I wore it yesterday tramping through the woods to find a Christmas tree, and it lasted beautifully in 20 degree weather without drying my lips out. I can’t decide if I like Velvet Jazz, or velvet ribbon more. They’re all incredible!

Sasha Grace S I really love this formula. After so many years of liquid lipstick domination, I’m glad to see people like Lisa creating bullet lipsticks. It’s such a fabulous formula, and in the past three days, it’s all I’m wearing. They have become an instant favorite, and I’ve received so many compliments on them. They are so worth the price.

...not that they could possibly hold a candle to Lisa's lipsticks...not at all, but if you or anyone else would like to find an almost-matte BUT comfortable lipstick formula at the drugstore, *Maybelline Creamy Mattes* are your best bet. They don't tug upon application and don't make your lips look dehydrated. They last quite a long time with minimal transfer. I'd classify them as "demi-matte" because there's no luster to them, but they are not completely flat either. However, if a liquid-to-matte, 100% transfer proof is what you're looking for, their *SuperStay Matte Ink* formula is one to try. Once they set, they will not move, and they are a lot less dry feeling than similar formulas by Anastacia, Kat Von D, Fenty Beauty, etc.

That's good to know. I've been disappointed by so many drugstore lipsticks, I've quite trying any recently. It's nice to have a list of suggestions to try. Thanks for watching, and I hope you are able to pick up some of these Red Velvet shades when they restock later this month!

Is there any smell or taste on these lipsticks?

I don't notice a smell. (I actually just pulled one out of my purse to check) There is also no taste. I don't even smell a makeup-y scent. It's pretty much odorless. I like that.
