Great review! I struggle with getting the right tone of red lipstick. I am quite pale, with a blue-to-neutral skin undertone. But my lips are quite naturally pink. So they can turn a fairly neutral red lipstick like the gorgeous Velvet Ribbon into a pink-toned red, which can be quite disappointing. I like the look of Velvet Dragon. Any recommendations would be very welcome.

Would LOVE to see the nudes/pinks next. I love the idea of red lips but on me, they always look wrong. Orange is my go-to bright/bold color. It's the very warm olive undertone I have.

Same here, olive toned too, the corals, pinks, mauves and orange red look better on me. love the reds on her, gorgeous, she can wear almost any color and they all look so pretty on her.

Pinks! Yes-bring on the pinks (and corals.) It was VERY helpful to see the swatches, as I'm starting to collect LE lipsticks and don't want to get something that's too close to something else.

They look so great on you, I’m almost tempted to get Strawberry Shock! I had all her collections until the previous one. I stopped buying them because I don’t really reach for them apart from Velvet Carnival (surprisingly!) and Skyscraper Rose. I just think there are lipsticks with better formulas right now so I try to resist getting more of these. Maybe it’s just me but the velvet formula is settling in my lip lines and the dark colours are skipping. The moisturising formula is a bit too oily and I need to reapply it way too often. The colours are fantastic and it’s difficult to resist because it’s getting so much hype on KZfaq.

Only purchase what makes sense for you. If you know you prefer other formulations, stand by your decision. I've always loved Lisa's formulations, and they're my most reached for lipsticks. I understand how hard it is to not get caught up in the KZfaq hype. I've made purchases before that I've regretted because I bought into the KZfaq hype. Thanks for making the time to watch today. @@totoro7318 I have a large lipstick collection, but Lisa's shades are by most reached for and the ones I appreciate the most. I also enjoy Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipsticks, and I think she excels at creating nude shades. I love the Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine lipsticks from the drugstore. They're very similar to another favorite, more expensive lipstick formula: the YSL Rouge Volupé Shine. I love both of those formulations. I have an entire lipstick playlist that your might enjoy. 😉

dobcsek…I feel the same as you on her formulation and they do the same on my lips. I’m always tempted on her new releases, bought the Strawberry Shock, I didn’t have that formulation so I wanted to try it. It’s really pretty but as soon as I mush my lips together it comes off on the middle of my lips, weird and sad. I think I’ll just keep buying my favorite that last a long time on my lips and doesn’t dry them out, it’s the Channel double ended liquid lip colors. They are just a few dollars more than Lisa’s. Oh by the way I’m 68 with those lip lines too, as I get older most other lipsticks don’t last as long like they use to so I have to keep reapplying.🥰

Actually I have Skyscraper Rose in that formulation and it works for me. It’s just the velvets that are just mediocre on me. I love the Chanel double ended lipsticks, those are my favorites, along with the Armani lipsticks and the Givenchy sheer matts.

What I love about Lisa Eldridge is that her makeup style is timeless and so are her products. They look good on everyone, from young girls to more mature women. Even the bold ones, they're bright but still somehow elegant and classy and sophisticated. You look amazing in all of them. Subbed ❤️

This was super helpful! Wish I could pick up the strawberry shock color but I'm allegric to the avocado oil in the formula. But it looks beautiful on you!

I'm sorry you're not able to get Strawberry Shock. It's such a fun, punchy color. There must be lots of lip products that contain avocado oil. 😥

Thanks so much for watching today. I'm obsessed with Lisa's lipsticks, and have so many of them. I've been doing a series of lip swatch videos by color family. I've done the reds, pinks, nudes and berries. I just recorded the peach/coral lipsticks yesterday. I'll have it up sometime next week. I know how fortunate I am to have most lipsticks look good on me. Red happens to be my favorite shade, and I've never found a red I didn't love the color of. Sometimes the formulas aren't my favorite, but I ALWAYS love a red lippie. Lisa's reds are utter perfection, and I hope she keeps making more of them.

I've not made it a secret that red is my favorite shade to wear, and I'm forever reaching for these lipsticks from Lisa. There are a few that I need to whiten my teeth to feel confident wearing (Velvet Dragon and Velvet Cinnabar) but I love them nonetheless.

I admire people who can wear reds effortlessly. I feel like reds, more warm shades in general ( warm nudes, corals, oranges) are difficult for me. And I have to go for the blue toned reds, but I have some from other brands in my collection but I wear them not that much at all. But I have 2 off these LE " reds" atomic cherry and velvet jazz. I juse them more than my other reds in my collection. ( I have debating for the longest time with my self if I should try velvet ribbon, but I have to say strawberry shock looks so stunning on so many people on Instagram and you tube, it is maby something to try,...) Thank you for the side bye side swatches. ❤

I'm glad this was helpful. That was my goal. I really love Velvet Ribbon. It's a great, blue toned red. It's my most worn LE lipstick. I feel like Strawberry Shock and Palazzo are going to give it a run for it's money. 😉 I like warm reds, but I'm not a huge fan of the orange or coral shades. I have a few, but rarely reach for them. Lisa's are the exception.

Ooh, I love this. 🤗 Tell your darling girl that lady lips says hello! I wish my girls were still small enough to fit in my lap for a cuddle. 😭 Thankfully, they still enjoy curling up on the couch together and we have awesome chats. Enjoy these younger years, they fly by quickly.

Thank you for these, such a cool idea to see them all on 🥰...question, do you find Velvet morning to make your teeth looking more yellow same as Dragon? I'm so fascinated by that shade, but I don't have the most brightest teeth and due to thier high sensitivity, I can't whitr them.

Velvet Dragon brings out the yellow in my teeth more than Velvet Morning. I don't know why I can wear Velvet Morning without worry, but I'm forever reaching for my whitening kit with Velvet Dragon. 🤷‍♀️ My teeth are also sensitive, but I use a whiting gel from my dentist that doesn't make them more sensitive. I can't use OTC strips like Crest. Those make my teeth hurt so much. 😥

@@ivaja2393 Velvet Morning is one of my most used reds. (Right after Velvet Ribbon) There are lots of bleaching options for teeth, and talking to your dentist is a great place to start.

I got that Atomic Cherry on her last sale, it’s so pretty. I was disappointed on only one that I purchased, it’s the Insanely Saturated in Strawberry Shock. It’s a pretty color but as soon as I put it on and mush my lips together it comes off around the middle of my lips, especially worse on my bottom lip, so sad. I exfoliate my lips and keep a lip balm on till I finish my makeup, wipe it off then apply it. Am I doing something wrong, I have no issues with her other lipsticks, well the mattes are really pretty but eventually they dry out my lips. Welcome to my age 68😂🥰

I don't have that problem with the insanely saturated lipsticks. Perhaps it's different person to person. I'm sorry that's happening to you, because I would be disappointed that a $36 lipstick wasn't performing the way I'd like it to. Atomic Cherry is pretty, but it's one of the reds I wear the least. I reach for it more during summer, but it's still a little too Coral for my taste. When I think of the word "cherry" I think of something darker. I think that's where my disappointment stems from. 😥 Over all, in really happy with these lipsticks. Thanks for watching.

My most used red is Velvet Ribbon. I also am quite partial to Velvet Morning. Palazzo is one I've been reaching for a lot since it arrived, but I'm not surprised. I love a sheer, creamy formula for summer. Thanks for watching.
