I've tried to get as many reactors as I can for many years to do Lisa. It just seems that most are not receptive. The most underrated singer of her generation. Lisa sang back up for Luther Vandross for 30 years and was the subject of the film "20 Feet From Stardom". Lisa is still alive, and performing in and around my native Brooklyn, she can still hit that F6, she is still as great a performer as she ever was...and she is as beautiful as ever.

I went to that Earth Voice Concert in Tokyo in 1992. She was truly awesome. Her backup singers included Brenda Russell, Anita Baker, Roberta Flack and Phil Perry who were also performing in this benefit concert. At the top of her song, she spoke in Japanese saying Forgive me, I love you and whole audience applauded her.

She was raw & pure vocal......doesn't exist in today's world anymore. She's an unsung legend in the game and still performs that song till this day

She still has no limits on her voice to this day in her early 60s. I saw her live in 2019, twice. The second time was when she did this song. You haven’t heard this song until you hear her do it NOW. So emotional. She ended the whole thing by scaling UP in what must’ve been a MIXED C6, paused, and then did the fastest downward scale from head voice into a bottom chest note. It must’ve been over 3 octaves in 3 seconds.
