Lyrics:
I'm lost in emotion
Telling you things you really shouldn't know
Oh, baby, I'm lost in emotion
Am I a fool? At least my friends think so
Qu-sera, que-sera
Baby, whatever will be?
Que-sera, que-sera
Truly you and me, oh no

@@alpharob6959 depends who you ask, but at least we still had enough of the old school people to learn from and 2 perant families were the norm and people still dressed up once in a blue moon at least, and at least a good chunk of people had an inkling of the faith or bible stories, might have been rougher for those that didn't but things were more defined, and common sense was a little more common, and people had a bit more mental fortitude about when stuff happened, kids were allowed to be kids, and got out and excercised a little or at least tried, and knew how to use their imagination, and yea cartoons saterday morning, and after school, local programing that as little kids we could not wait to get on tv to be a part of, best of all you still had usa made stuff, and it was not considered hateful to love the contry, oh I remember quite a bit the national heartbreak that challenger explosion was and the great glory of the restoration of the statue of liberty the following year, and a bit of the pride that was the 1984 olympics, I was too young then to really know what it ment, and the last great welcome home of the last major war of the 20th century in 1991 after desert storm with bob hope, and the last great run of the iowa battleships during the gulf war, we could be red white and blue and show it with honor with clothing and even some shoes that were made here by our own hard working people though they called us lazy americans.and the malls oh they were iconic in the hey day. downside bullying and people smoking everywhere, and the cars of the 80's well there were not pretty most weren't anyway firebirds were ok and mustangs might have been passable or the lambergini countaght like in cannonball run 1 and 2. what I miss most though is the shows most were not near as objectionable, and you could still have decent sitcoms before some of the stuff was done to death, and kids shows that were educational didn't have a huge hiden agenda like today, like trying to teach preschoolers about non binary like they dont even fully know about boys and girls differances yet and you want to teach that confusion before their mind is formed and they can even determine what they really feel, and we did not try to dress little girls up like hookers, I mean yea some of the dancewear was not the most modest but we did not feel the need to put them in a sports top and basicly underwear and nothing else and teach them to dance like an exotic dancer, really sarry for the discourse my brain just kind of spills but I would say it was a more straightforward time to be alive and though we had to work harder we also had a bit more time to relax, not on call 24 seven and have to watch everything we say for whats ok one day the next on a whim is now hatespeech, or have all the information bomb us all at once you had hour breaking stories sometimes on cnn or other early cable news but you didn't have 3 tickers running at lightspeed all at once, and there were more places for ammusments and parks, though now we largely have that on our phones and in our homes but still things were more deliniated time wise, a time to work a time to relax, a time to sleep, and time for the news or newspaper, a time for school, a time for summer break, a time to go to the theater for a movie

People under 30 have no idea how, back in the day, big this song was. It was one of those tunes that you heard everywhere you went: at parties, at the beach, blaring out of cars that drove by and, of course, in heavy rotation on MTV. It was one of those songs that defined its time. We don't have that experience anymore. And I miss it. Rock on, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam!

More than even having just sense, it seemed like everyone had much more respect for one another. Even when we didn't agree, we at least respected each others differences. Which is ironic, because so many people are demanding tolerance and acceptance now, despite the fact that the people demanding it, sure do seem to struggle giving it.

*_John 3.16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”_* ---

dtownlove10 I really like your post with what you said I agree the 80's were fun times I also love how simple things were back then but now everything is becoming more complicated and people were a lot nicer to one another back then back too such as teachers, Dr.'s ect. People with social media and their phones are also getting out of hand to where people would rather talk online instead of getting together to actually go out which is sad and since the September 11th people's attitudes have changed big time too. Yeah the 80's were fun I'm glad I grew up in that decade that's when I started playing video games too!:).

Why is there always at least one person that posts rude and/or just downright nasty comments, when everyone else is posting pleasant, nice comments? Leave it to these rude asses to completely ruin a nice thread with unnecessary rude comments! I guess they just want everyone else to be as miserable and lonely as they are! People just need to ignore their nasty comments and refuse to "feed the trolls" who want to ruin everyone's good time. Ignore them, refuse to give them the attention they crave and hopefully they'll go away!

@@camillehall5685 i lived in Zimbabwe, Southern Africa shortly after it gained independence from the British in 1980. It is a culturally and racially diverse country. It overcame segregation and a bush war...white versus black...but not so stark because there were some blacks and mulattos fighting for the status quo while also some whites and mulattos did not like the racist laws. In short it is because of all these divergent social economic factors that converges to make ZimbAbwe a great case study of racial unity. I mean we have a white miss ZimbAbwe representing a nation that is at best and at most 90%black. The other 10%is white, mulattos who have their own racial classification, Indians from the subcontinent of India and then a growing number of Chinese or oriental in recent years. This is similar to South Africa even if the numbers of whites, Asians and mixed race more there. I went to mixed race schools...greeks, some jews, Anglo-Saxon, mixed race, Indians and this provides the back drop i was alluding to in my comment.
