The actor also shares his reaction to Denzel Washington recommending him for the role. He was blood sacrificed. Look at his death date and the date of the release of elvis. He so died at the age of 27, the 27 club. They sacrificed him. They had to and they needed money hence the movie, etc.. They took out Elvis male bloodline so it couldn't carry on.

It's almost like Lisa is trying to fill that lost void of her son Benjamin with Austin. And she's becoming that mother figure in his life now. She said last night that she is so protective of him like that was her own child. Very sweet and touching. They need each other. Riley has grown close to Austin too. He's the age that Ben would have been.

Baz managed to find a path through Elvis' life that shows who he was, why, and how much more he could have been. Such a gift to those of us that have memories of Elvis as an icon. We now have a sense of what made him both greater than life and less than he hoped for at times.

My father was killed a month before Elvis died. I hadn't seen him in a long time, my father, so when I was crying over Elvis dying that day I realized I was also crying for my father. Just saw it. WOW. As a diehard fan & tribute artist I was apprehensive, but seeing the trailers and the family give their blessings. And now I’ve seen what they meant. It moves fast, there are some inaccuracies here & there. But it’s true to Elvis, the man, the artist , the legend. But I came away emotional especially by the end. I can only imagine how emotional it was for his family. Austin Butler does a great job, no he doesn’t look like Elvis, but he captures him in spirit from the start. His mannerisms, his speech, and he got down his dancing from the 50s to the 70s pretty good. Very impressed! This movie shows you Elvis’ roots, his triumphs, his setbacks, his frustrations, his rebelliousness at times. Love how Baz uses Elvis’ songs throughout the movie especially at certain times that fit what’s happening. Would’ve liked to see more of Elvis’ happy times and his generous nature of buying ppl cars etc… But this is a great movie. Going to see it again. Want to see the 4 hour version now! Long Live The King! BRAVO 👏 Austin deserves an Oscar! Baz is a genius!

It is an AMAZING film! I really would like to know more about the inaccuracies if you don't mind (I don't mean to be trouble). I enjoyed Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" on SOME level but every aspect of that film was not true or real. I wish I could have a somewhat better understanding with how "Elvis" holds up to any truths but in terms of all of the stuff I have known it sure covers the subjects the way I felt were portrayed appropriately. Hmmm...

@@alexkx8599 I’ll try list as many as I can. Elvis’ debut on Hayride he sang That’s All Right Mama & Blue Moon of Kentucky not Baby Let’s Play House. He bought Graceland in 1957, not 56’. July 4th show didn’t happen that way, he was censored in Jacksonville FL from moving at all. He didn’t sing Trouble in that show, wasn’t recorded till 58’ for movie King Creole. The Xmas show productions never started, Elvis & Binder to Parker’s dislike changed the show completely but to appease Parker,Elvis sang Blue Christmas in the show. Elvis never played 6 weeks straight at International, it was 30 days straight 2 shows a day with a 3rd show added on the last night. Elvis never fired the Colonel from stage, happened backstage on Sept 3 1973. Wasn’t completely over gambling debts but over the hotel firing a worker who was fired because Elvis visited his sick wife at their home to pray with her. The casino thought the worker over stepped his duties and friendship and fired him which Elvis called them out for, which upset the Colonel. Elvis didn’t buy the Lisa Marie plane till 1975, not the 1969. The premise is true but they combined some events into one to speed the story up. To get a more accurate portrayal of Elvis life I suggest ‘This is Elvis’ movie. They mostly use real footage to tell his story with a voice actor and just a couple tribute artists to feel in the gaps. Hope this helps! But I still loved the movie, Austin did an amazing job and Baz brought it to life.

Lisa's son Benjamin looked so much like Elvis. It'd so sad that she lost her baby boy. Lisa can really be a supportive maternal figure for Austin who lost his mother.

It's Priscilla really who provided all the info about Elvis. Lisa too young and couldn't have remembered much. Also input from his buddies the Memphis Mafia. Now there's no Presley bloodline left.

I love this and can’t wait to see the movie !! Elvis blessed us with mind boggling, time changing musical genius!! The fact this young man’s interpretation of Elvis to move his daughter in this way is emotional … can’t help but think Elvis, if at all possible, blessed this young man to bring him back to life (in a way) for his family and we just are blessed to take that ride as well !!
